One Free Tree

Lowe’s will be giving away one million free trees (not to the same person) on Saturday, April 23. Worried you might accidentally kill yours? Join the club. We’ve got hats and everything.

    I called 3 different stores in my area to check on date and time of this free tree giveaway. 1st-they all gave me different days and times. 2nd-the were all rude.

    I called my local Lowe’s store and they said on Saturday April 23, there will be a coupon that willbe online for you to print out to get the free tree.

    Does anyone know what kind of tree(s) they will be giving away? I hope its not one of those trees that take up to 25 – 50 years to mature. I might not live that long to see it full grown :)

    They should hand out bamboo. However, that is actually a grass plant:)

    by the picture of a kid holding the tree on their website, it looks like it’s going to be a pine tree. but it could be different in every store.

    this may sound weird…but does anyone know if a permit is needed (in NY) to plant this tree on our property?

    No permits needed to plant trees just remove trees (in all states).

    No permit is needed to plant a tree only to remove one and they have to be certain type of tree. Just be careful that you know where to dig and plant where no pipes will be affected.

    Oh, yeah. I saw the photo of the boy holding the pine tree. Just what I need here in N. FLA, where all there are, are millions of pine trees!!!!

    Jean, the good thing about that is that you wouldn’t be introducing an invasive species to the area. It’s perfect for Earth Day!
