Coupon: Free Candy or Drink at CVS

A lot of people complain about the number of freebies on Facebook now, so let’s see if they have the same aversion to Twitter. CVS is offering a coupon for a free candy or drink. Similar to Facebook freebies, you have to access their Twitter app in order to get this freebie. I guess it’s time for me to make a tutorial on removing these as well. Based on my current to-do list, the expected ETA for that is around 2046.

Free Huggies Supreme Baby Wipes

Okay. Let’s do a little experiment here. The membership ID field is not required for these free Huggies Supreme baby wipes from Sam’s Club. So how long will it take before somebody comments or emails me to complain they’re not Sam’s Club members? It happens every time! Sometimes I think I could fill these posts with Lorem ipsum and nobody would know the difference.

Zaxby’s Birthday Freebie

On the one hand, I never received my card for Zaxby’s birthday freebie. I wanted a free nibbler, dang it! However, I’m willing to give them the benefit of doubt because I did receive a flyer for a free meal deal. Plus I love Zaxby’s. I practically lived off them throughout college.

Signup Freebie: Free meal deal.
Birthday Freebie: Free nibbler.

Remember, we have a full list of free birthday food!

Flat Top Grill Birthday Freebie

Flat Top Grill Birthday Freebie

Don’t let the giant asterisk in Flat Top Grill’s birthday freebie email worry you. I cut off the fine print, but I assure you there are no sneaky catches. It’s not a BOGO, you don’t have to have a flat top haircut, and teeth grills are only optional. It’s simply a straight up freebie, just the way we like them. Now if only they had more locations than in four midwest states…

Now here’s the rub. I signed up for all these freebies in February / March to test them out and back then their offer was a free stir fry. However, they’ve since updated their main site to say their offer is $5 off on your birthday and yet their birthday signup page says it’s still a stir fry. So I re-signed up this week and got a second birthday email for … a free stir fry! They’re probably in the midst of changing their system, so if you want to get this freebie, jump on it now.

Signup Freebie: Zilch
Birthday Freebie: One free stir-fry

Remember, we have a full list of free birthday food!

Free Bacardi T-Shirt

EDIT: This is no longer available.

This free Bacardi t-shirt is only available to the first 50,000 Facebook fans and, despite the fact they already have 430,000 fans, it’s still available. I admittedly stink at math, but something seems off about those numbers. Oh well, it will probably die within the hour, so get moving.

Free Weekend Events

Free Lowes Build & Grow Clinic

Since the freebies suddenly dried up over the past 48 hours, I hunted down a few extra free events this weekend.

  • Lakeshore Learning – Their craft event from 11am-3pm is building a Spring Chick.
  • Lowe’s Build & Grow Clinic – Kids will be making a sports pinball game from 10am-12pm. As usual, space is limited, so register on-lin.
  • Michaels – On Saturday from 10am-1pm, kids can attend the free Make-It, Take-It Crayola event. It’s been a while since I’ve used crayons, so I don’t really know what this is.
  • Michaels – What?! TWO Michaels events in one weekend?! Okay, calm down there. Sunday’s event will be another Make-It, Take-It event where they “build” an Easter pail. Note that this is from 1pm-3pm.
  • Toys R Us – From 11am-1pm on Saturday, there’s a Thomas Play Date where kids enjoy story time, coloring, and free giveaways.

In other words, sleep in this weekend if you’re childless.

Free John Frieda Smooth Start Shampoo

EDIT: This is no longer available.

Like them on Facebook and you’ll get some free John Frieda Smooth Start repairing shampoo. Too bad I have no use for this, as I’m already super smooth with the ladies. I’ve been smacked so many times that my cheeks have curvature of a riverbed pebble.

You have to add a John Frieda app to your profile, so make sure you purge it and any other freebie apps with these instructions I wrote last year. I still say everybody should make a second Facebook account just for freebies, kind of like we do with email accounts, but deleting the app is the best alternative.

Coupon: Free Newman’s Own Product

If you agree to volunteer sometime during the month of April, you can get a coupon for a free Newman’s Own product. You can search VolunteerMatch to find donation opportunities in your area and, after giving them your contact info, you’ll get an email with a link to request the free coupon.

I almost signed up to mentor a kid, but then my buddy pointed out that I would have to be the mentor in that scenario.

Au Bon Pain Birthday Freebie

Au Bon Pain Birthday Freebie

Talk about a slow freebie day. The very least I can do is throw up this Au Bon Pain birthday freebie so there’s something in the newsletter. Although whether or not you want to eat at someplace with “pain” in the title is another story.

Signup Freebie: Free travel mug.
Birthday Freebie: Free sandwich or salad.

Remember, we have a full list of free birthday food!
