Freebies and free stuff

To say that I feel a little tired today might be an understatement. Why, first thing this morning, I turned to a peer at work and said “I need a nap.” And it was only 10 minutes after store opening!

So maybe its time that I switch up my vitamins to this free Bio-35 sample. And what’s cool is that while it might be a Facebook link? It actually links away to a different page! A Facebook freebie that you don’t need Facebook for! Who woulda thunk?

So while I was walking through my store’s Junior’s department today, I found myself watching the music videos as usual. I miss music videos. You could hear cool songs and know exactly who played them. Nowadays? Kids just Google the lyrics. Still effective, but if you hear the line “‘scuse me while I kiss this guy”, I doubt you’ll find the right song.

So when I heard Green River Ordinance’s “On Your Own” and finally realized that it wasn’t another track by The Avett Brothers, I was glad to find a free download of Green River Ordinance’s debut album. Yup, there’s that whole “give a tip” bar there, but that’s not required for this download.

The way I see it? Its something to tide me over until I can get Childish Gambino’s Camp…

I played Angry Birds Seasons for two and a half hours the other night. Yup. Two and a half hours. And believe it or not, I’m still not done with it! Its enough to make me a little angry.

So when I saw this free Biosecurity for Birds 2012 calendar, I wondered what might make those birds angry. Maybe if they weren’t biosecure, they’d be angry. Or maybe they just don’t want bacon or ham to go with their eggs. They’re kosher!

I don’t know who Immortal Technique is. I’ll admit that I listen to a lot of strange musicians, and I was cheering like crazy while listening to Childish Gambino on Fallon tonight (srsly can’t wait for Camp), but I have no clue who this Immortal Technique is and why he’s Immortal and what his Technique might be. So this free Immortal Technique album (link is to the ZIP download) might be something I pick up and listen to for a bit. We’ll see, though…

P.S. While its not stated anywhere on the site, I have a feeling that this album just might be one of those that you want to hand your kid some Hearos during… Just sayin’…

I have a love-hate relationship with oranges. Having lived in Florida as long as I did, I had so many of them that I’m surprised I never turned as orange as Snooki. Yet, as much as I enjoyed the flavor, I hated that my hands smelled like oranges for hours after peeling and eating one.

So that’s why I’m a little torn about this free Atelier Orange Sanguine cologne sample. Do I really want to relive my orange hand days?

This free 2012 Noisy Planet calendar is kind of small, but it might fit nicely in a locker, cubical, or … jail cell? Hey, with almost a hundred thousand Hiffers out there, the math alone says a few of y’all have to be evil. Not that I’m judging or anything. I once stole a pack of gum as a kid and have yet to be caught, so I know what it’s like to be on the lam.

Walgreens is offering another 25 free 4×6 photo prints through tomorrow (Saturday November 5) via code FREE4X6. I’m sure we all have some Halloween photos that might look nice in a scrapbook. Or, if you’re like me, you have a few hundred blurry and unfocused pictures on your digital camera. I can’t tell if I’m looking at pictures from a Halloween party or taking a Rorschach test.

Make sure you opt to pick up the photos at your local store to avoid the shipping cost.

After finding this free Horse Illustrated Magazine subscription, I have just one question: Do they run a swimsuit issue?

Let’s just leave that question rhetorical. I don’t think any of us really want to know…

When a product has a name like this free Simply Right underwear, I wonder: what if its just simply wrong? Would that be false advertisement?

It’d be about as fake as the fake Sam’s Club 9 digit number I came up with to get this freebie…

We get some flak for telling people to make up Sam’s Club membership numbers. I even went so far as to get Adam and I matching bomber jackets. HIF doesn’t have a mascot, so I had to use my own likeness for the pinup girl on the back. It looks just as disturbing as the image now in your head.

Anyway, Sam’s Club is offering free Dove Daily Moisture and, like always, nine random numbers will work for the ID field. The signup page says we’ll be getting a “free sample of Dove Hair.” So … new hair for everybody!
