Freebies and free stuff

So GNC has this free FortiFX bar coupon. I guess I’d better map out how many GNC’s are nearby and start visiting them all with different mustaches and wigs to maximize this sucker…

Today Ebates is running a Cyber Monday 2 campaign (…really? That was the best name they could come up with? I would have gone with Super Awesome Bonus Money day.) where they’re at least doubling the rebates at over 500 stores. Some examples include:

Toys R Us – 10% cash back instead of 2%
Barnes and Noble – 10% cash back instead of 4%
Disney Store – 10% cash back instead of 5%
Walmart – 6% cash back instead of 1%
Nordstrom – 6% cash back instead of 3%
Old Navy – 5% cash back instead of 2%
Kohl’s – 4% cash back instead of 2%
Apple – 2% cash back instead of 1%

Those just scratch the surface – there honestly are a boatload more. Not only that, but new members to Ebates can get a free $10 gift card after making their first purchase. So if you’ve still got some Christmas shopping to do, today might be the day to stop procrastinating.

Now I just need to figure out what to actually buy for a few people. I’m open to suggestions. *crickets*

I know, I know, there have been a lot of point freebies today as opposed to regular freebies. That’s just the way the cookie crumbles every now and then. In related news, I could really go for a cookie.

Today’s free Christmas song is “Emmanuel” by Laura Story. The daily 5 point Disney Movie Rewards code is supposed to be 25DOC3263JDE, but I keep getting a message saying it isn’t live yet. I don’t want to get behind on these posts again though, so I’m going to publish this and let it go out in the daily newsletter. Maybe the code will come online later this afternoon.

Thursday, December 15, is National Cupcake Day. I think we all can agree this should be expanded to a month-long celebration. It looks like both Marble Slab and MaggieMoo’s are getting the ball rolling by offering a free ice cream cupcake from 4-7pm that day. Sweet.

There’s a free Dove Damage Therapy shampoo and conditioner offer available from Costco and it doesn’t require a membership number. That means no making up a number, giving me clean hair with a clean conscious. Oh, it’s not that making up a fake number bothers me. I just don’t like spending 5 seconds thinking of one.

The first 40,000 people to sign up on Facebook will receive free Sundown Naturals fish oil. Trust me, this is the way to go when it comes to obtaining fish oil. Catching them in the wild then trying to squeeze it out gets messy real fast.

It’s just dawning on my that 97 is awfully close to 100. I never imagined I’d manage to keep this series going for 100 weeks. Is it cool if I make myself a trophy? On second thought, I’d rather have a few Oreo stuffed chocolate chip cookies.

I know the signup page doesn’t say anything about a free calendar, but this recently published press release sure does. At first I was happy they did all the hard work of finding this freebie for me. But the more I thought about it, the more I realized I actually like it when freebies are buried in the dregs of the Internet. Digging through them all makes me feel like an archeologist, which explains why I walk around with an Indiana Jones whip all day.
