Why is Peyton Manning flipping the coin here? Is he going to officiate the Super Bowl? I smell a slight conflict of interest seeing as his brother will be playing in it.

Here’s the deal. Papa John’s is holding a goofy promotion where people pick what the Super Bowl coin toss will be. If “America” correctly calls it, then everybody gets a free large one-toppings pizza and a 2-liter Pepsi Max.

  • Skip Facebook integration
  • Watch stupid video of a grown man failing to flip a coin
  • Create a free Papa Rewards account, if you don’t already have one
  • Vote Heads or Tails
  • Watch the Super Bowl on … I don’t know. Who cares. The Packers aren’t in it.

If America gets it right, all Papa Rewards members will get an email telling them how to get their free food, regardless of whether you personally got the call right.

    Goob – I’m so glad you’re a Packer fan. I live in Green Bay and that playoff game was the hardest thing to watch. At least the team that beat us went on to the Super Bowl. PS – it’s on February 5th.

    @Diana – No other countries, these are all US city’s teams in the NFL.

    I am excited to have a 50-50 shot of winning this, already was a member too! I’m looking forward to the Superbowl, though my team, the Chargers never made the playoffs. :( At least we kept the Raiders out of them too!

    so, let me get this right, America has to get the toss right, so they will accumulate all of the votes and the highest one, heads or tails, will count as America’s vote. so, my vote doesn’t matter technically, the majority has to get it right. conveniently i didn’t see a tally or progress of which heads or tails was in the lead, so im guessing on game day America will “get it wrong” sad, but they’ll offer us some $2 off coupon??

    I am a member and I voted before the Super Bowl, but when I try to claim my prize tell me my e-mail address is not associate with a Papa John’s rewards member. What is wrong???

    Me too Martina! apparently the whole “voting” thing didn’t have anything to do with being a reward member. I have an account with Papa Johns, but apparently that isn’t the same as “rewards member” either! I guess I am NOT getting the free pizza. Bummer

    I’m happy to report I enjoyed my pizza and soda last night. I paid $2.25 for the delivery (because I was too lazy to go and get it). I had already subscribed to their reward program, per Goob’s suggestion, and to be honest, I had no idea there was a contest going on. But the surprise coupon on the email made my day. As always, Thanks.

    I don’t understand this either. I signed up when Goob first posted this freebie. I signed both my husband and myself up with two different email accounts. I never received a coupon code at either address. I emailed the customer service line and was told that neither myself nor my husband were papa rewards members. This is simply not true as I signed us up specially for the rewards program prior to the contest. I can sign on to their site now and go to the rewards page and it shows me as a member. Anyone else with a similar experience have a solution for me???? There is no separate rewards or points page/link that I can find. I have already gone to the papa rewards link. I see nothing about points though. HELP!!
