Panera Bread Birthday Freebie

Hey, remember these!? I still update the giant birthday freebies list, but this is the first new one I’ve come across recently. Unfortunately the Panera Bread birthday freebie is quite cryptic and I haven’t had a chance to use my card and see what the freebie is. It’s just nice to have actual confirmation of its existence.

Signup Freebie: … don’t remember. Actually, I don’t think there was one.
Birthday Freebie: A mysterious offer loaded onto your loyalty card.

    When I got my card(in store) they told me when activated online it would give me a free dessert. Haven’t done it yet, but I guess its the same all over the U.S. I don’t want to activate it til I know I am going there cuz I think it has to be redeemed within a certain period. (ie a month or whatever)

    The “Birthday Freebie” is any cookie or sweet (brownies, etc.) that they have available when you come in.  Panera’s sweets are super good.  I got this freebie back in April and got a $1.49 chocolate chip cookie (which are made fresh that day).  It’s really whatever sweet you want. :)

    I activated my Panera card a month or two ago and it gives you a free “sweet” as well, which is automatically loaded onto your card!

    All you have to do is log into your Panera Card account to see what it is.  Mine is good through July (which is three months).  :)

    I just signed up for a card.  They issued a temp card that I printed & can take.  Under “My Surprises” on the site, it says I have a free Expresso or Smoothie.  Offer good until 8/7/12.

    I received my Panera reward last month- it was a free bakery item of my choosing. I went with the “Monkey-Bread”-like muffin. That 1,000 calorie monster filled me up for the entire day.

    When I signed up, I was given a free pastry on my choice.
     
    For my birthday I also recieved a free pastry on my card,
     
    in between though , I got several free beverages, and even a free you pick two. When I asked my cashier how I earned that ( I don’t go very often) she told me it was random…

    Panera food is laden with calories : O I think ppl who feel as though they’re doing their bodies good by going there for lunch/dinner…may be VERY SURPRISED- as I was!! I couldn’t believe it when my daughter went on her phone (some app….don’t ya know) and showed me. Yes, even the salads. I mean you’d expect it from the baked goodies but, the sandwiches/salads?? Seriously? Then the prices they charge for something you could easily make at home is OUTRAGEOUS to say the least. Do I still take the kids? Yes, once in a while….as a treat ONLY!!! Just a word to the wise…don’t be fooled in to thinking it’s low cal in any way/shape/form. Have a great day!!

     @Halina Zakowicz The “Monkey-Bread” like muffin you’re referring to is the Cobblestone … I don’t eat the whole thing and I share it with someone else … that way the calories get shared around :)
