Free Peta Animals Don't Smoke Pack

I’m more interested in what the difference between peta2 and PETA is than I am in this free peta2 Animals Don’t Smoke pack. Actually “interested” isn’t the right word. It’s more of a fleeting curiosity that was gone as soon as I went to Reddit.

  • Free is for Me

it’s basically the same organization except peta2 is focused on youth and teens so they kinda censor some of the more gross and graphic stuff.. either way it’s still ran by peta :)

Sad to read that tobacco manufacturers kill animals while testing flavored products :(

  • IDI

Sad to know that you “kill” animals while you are eating… :(

  • Dan

@IDI It is possible that AJB is a vegetarian or a vegan, you know. ;P Also, why is kill in quotes? It is killing, whether or not you consider it to be ethical.

Fuck this shit.  Smoking is a wondrous joyful act.  Some old hag told me to put my cig out at the park the other day.  I walked right up to that Ho and placed the cherry on her eyeball.  She screamed and cried while I laughed and laughed.

  • AJB

Yes, I have been a vegetarian for a long time :)

  • AJB

P.S.  It struck me as a bit odd that tobacco companies would do this when they get so much flack for making a product that harms people and now get additional bad PR using animals in product testing (the objective being to somehow make the product seem safer?).

  • HollyL

Because, unless someone literally takes the life of and butchers their own fauna, or harvests their own flora, they didn’t kill anything. It was already dead when they got to it. Hence the quotation marks. They imply a hypothetical.

Also, like it or not, even vegans are “killers”. Plants are alive as well, if not aware. Although whether or not they are aware begs an entire OTHER debate that I’m not even getting into here.
Hope that this helps, Dan and IDI!
