Free $5 Gift Card

Free Plink Gift Card

I’m always skeptical of these types of deals, but after looking into who these people were and what type of security their site offered, I felt comfortable signing up with Plink and was able to pick up a free $5 gift card to Amazon.com.

The basic idea here is that you sign up, link a credit or debit card to your account, then earn free points whenever you use that card at restaurants like Outback, Arby’s, or Burger King (they’ve partnered with a few movie chains as well). You don’t have to actually make a purchase to get the gift card though. You get 500 points just for signing up and linking a card, which is enough to get a free $5 gift card to Amazon, Walmart, and others.

I’d never heard of Plink, but they’ve received some decent press, have an A- rating from the BBB, and their encryption security checks out. And if, after receiving your free $5 gift card, you decide that the service isn’t for you then you can delete your account.

And to boot, I got my free $5 gift card about an hour after signing up (proof). So give it a whirl, grab a few free bucks, and call it day.

Okay it took about 5-10 minutes before the points came into my account, but I ordered the gift card. Lets see how long it takes me.

I did it. They steal my money, I’m coming straight here, Goob! lol

After it connects to your card, do you need to pick an offer or will it automatically send you the $5?

  • Heather

I keep getting an error when I try to use the link. EDIT – seems to resolve when I change browsers.

  • Corrina

    My bank isn’t listed, natch.

  • Anne

    Nevermind!

You wait and click My Account and check your point balance every so often until you see 500 points, redeem now! Click the redeem button, and choose your gift card.

It just arrived. Now time to close the account.

This was a nightmare to sign up with on a mobile phone but I finally got in. If anyone else has the same trouble, you just need to do one more tedious thing to get this to work, after all those tries in vain to sign up using an Android phone’s native browser (you can choose for it not to switch to mobile sites in preferences all day long and it will not do jack), Opera (no java, offer no likie), Firefox (no user agent switcher = will still see you’re on a mobile and won’t put you through).

What is this one more tedious step that will get you in on an Android? Go to the Google Play Store and download the Dolphin HD browser. You’ll be in like Flynn.

Says on the Plink website there’s a mobile app too but I didn’t try it. I figure it’s better to go with Dolphin for the sign-up as I’ll likely need it for other offers that don’t work with mobile phones. If I decide I dig Plink after this (and get the gift card), then I’ll download their mobile app. Not before.

Plink is completely legit, i signed up for it through a GPT site & made $4 from that site and now I have earned a total of $20 in gift cards just in the past 2 months getting gas & food from Plink.

Nice. The more Redditors that get in on this, the better!

I signed up 3 days ago, and the Amazon gift card still says “pending” :(

Bah, I registered but couldn’t link my account right away. Went in and linked it and I’m not getting any points… annoying!!
