Amazon Prime Price Increase

Free Amazon Prime Membership

What more can be said about Prime at this point? They offer a free 6 month Amazon Prime trial for students, or anybody with a .edu email, which lets you take advantage of the free 2-day shipping perk. Amazon Mom is another great (and free!) service for any parents out there who also want the free shipping (it’s capped at 3 free months though). And then there’s the full fledged Amazon Prime, which I happily pay $70 a year for. You get free 2-day shipping on anything sold by Amazon, you get to stream movies, and you can rent books on your Kindle app. It’s amazing.

The only problem is that Amazon Prime price increase is real. Next month it goes from $70 to $90 a year.

So this is just a friendly reminder that if you were thinking about trying Prime out, you might want to do it sooner rather than later. The cost change applies to users when they renew their membership after April 17. New customers who start a free trial between now and March 20 will lock in the $79 rate for the first year!

So there ya go. If you want an Amazon Prime account, you might want to get on that now. And if you don’t want to pay, there’s always Amazon Student or Amazon Mom if you qualify!

My Prime fee is $79 and is increasing to $99. Do you get a special rate?

Student pricing is increasing too! From $39 to $49. Still a great deal for those textbooks!

Mine is currently $79, increasing to $99. But I got an email that my increase doesn’t start until April 2015.

I signed up last month :) Guess the timing was right!

I was thinking of joining. I went to check grocery prices versus what we just paid on recent BJ’s trips. The prices were more than double. It doesnt work for me
