‘Animals / Pets’ Freebies

Free Oven Baked Cat or Dog Food

My cats are spoiled rotten. Seriously. And now even more so with my wife gone on her internship for the summer. You see, while she’s around, they get to sleep with us maybe one night every other week. Now? Every night! When she’s around? Wet food every other week or so. Now? There was a 3-4 day span where that’s all they got while we ran low on the dry food.

So when my wife comes back in another three weeks, well, I’d better let her spoil them with a free sample of this oven baked pet food. After all, a furry revolution in our house wouldn’t be a good thing…

Free ASPCA Pet Safety Pack

This free ASPCA pet safety pack is similar to the ADT pet cling freebie we posted recently. In fact, I think we posted this offer in 2008. Whatever, it’s still available, so sign up now if you’re interested in a pet rescue window decal or an Animal Poison Control Center magnet. It’s the latter that I’m interested in, because between my friends and my family, somebody is constantly screaming that everything my dog eats is poisonous. “No, don’t let her have a piece of apple! Peanut butter will kill her! Why in the world are you giving her dog food?!” Enough already!

[thanks to Melissa, who included this zinger in her email: "Donations are gladly accepted, but if you're running low on cash (and who isn't), a nice kick in the groin to someone you see abusing an animal is just as good as cash (in my humble opinion)." - I couldn't agree more!]

Free Rachel Ray Nutrish Sample

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: I’m not a fan of Rachel Ray. Even still, it looks like she’s got a new link up for a free sample of her Nutrish dog food.

I wonder if that’s supposed to tell us something about the rest of her recipes…

Rebate: Free Feline Fresh Cat Litter

Last week there was a rash of in-store freebies and now it appears that this week is all about the coupons and rebates. If you have a cat in your home, check out this rebate form for a free 7 lb. bag of Feline Fresh cat litter that’s valid until Dec 31, 09. They’ll only reimburse up to $5.99, so make sure you’re not paying more than that at the store.

If you don’t have a cat, you might consider donating the litter to your local animal shelter. See, whoever said freebies can’t be used for the greater good of society?

Free Dog’s Life Magazine

EDIT: The link below may not be working, but here’s a secondary link to try.

I can’t tell if this free Dog’s Life magazine is only for one issue or a full subscription, but I signed up regardless. Nether of my dogs have ever shown even the slightest desire to read anything in my house, but if this is something they’d be interested in, then I’m all for it.

Huh? It’s for humans? Oh man, I hate reading.* There are always so many words!

*Not really, reading is awesome. Also, the fine print makes it sound like this is just one issue. Still, maybe it’ll have some coupons or something?

Free ADT Pet Window Clings

The sign-up form for this free ADT pet window cling asks when the best time to call is. Too bad they don’t offer a “never” option. Luckily they accepted my submission of 555-555-5518. Why the 18 at the end? Well duh, it’s not like I want them to suspect it’s a fake number or anything.

Coupons: Free Pet Medications

Discovery Channel & Animal Planet have teamed up to offer free printable pet medication coupons that can be redeemed at participating vets. Only problem is I couldn’t find a master list of which vets are participating in the offer, so you know what that means! We now get to play a free game of “so, uh, I’ve got this coupon from the Internet which says I can get some, uh, free medication for Twiggles and…like…you know, do you accept this?” Ohhh, I’m already giddy with anticipation over the awkwardness of it all!

Coupon: $5 Eukanuba Dog Food

EDIT: This is now just a signup form for their newsletter. No word if any coupons come with the letter or not.

I’m struggling to find some decent freebies right now, but I did just come across this free $5 Eukanuba dog food coupon. I always do a double take when I see this brand name since it’s so close to my own last name, Eubanks. You’d think I’d learn to stop going, “wait, there’s a dog food named after me?” You’d be wrong.

Also, I’m gonna be posting a chance to win a few gift cards later on tonight. I’ve had enough of this darn freebie drought.

Free Purina Fancy Feast or Beggin’ Strips

EDIT: This offer is now dead.

The free Purina Fancy Feast or Beggin’ Strips offer is back again, so if you missed it the first time around, now’s your chance. Just like before, you have to let the page load and then click on the blue banner to get to the signup page. And FYI, you don’t have to be a Sam’s Club member to get this.

I know some people claimed they couldn’t find the blue banner to click on last time, so here’s a picture of it. See, I’m not crazy, it’s really there!

Printable: $3.50 Purina Coupon

Your reward for taking an eight question quiz is a printable $3.50 Purina coupon good for any of their cat or dog food. In addition, they’ll donate $1 to an animal welfare group in your community whenever you use the coupon.

I actually used to volunteer at my local group, but they recently asked me to stop coming. Apparently I was breaking some rules by bringing my dirty dishes and letting all the pets “clean” them for me. Hey, it’s not my fault my dishwasher was broken! Can you think of a better way to clean them, Mrs. Smartypants? Exactly, I didn’t think so.

Free Rachael Ray Nutrish Dog Food

EDIT: Some people in the comments are saying they’re having trouble signing up for the sample. If you’re in that boat, try using this link instead.

If you missed out on this offer last month, then today’s your lucky day as this free Rachael Ray Nutrish dog food offer is back. In fact, you can choose to either get a free sample or a coupon for $3.50 off a 6lb. bag. I’m just thankful I didn’t have to type out “yummo” at any point while making this post. Wait a minute…dang it!

[via Liz - thanks!]

Free Purina Fancy Feast or Beggin’ Strips

EDIT: All samples are gone now!

In order to get this free Purina Fancy Feast or Beggin’ Strips, simply click the blue bar at the top of their page that says “give your pet a taste of Purina.” (if you have any ad-blocking software, you’ll have to disable it in order to see the banner.)

So if you have a cat and a dog, how do you decide which freebie to get? I tried explaining to my pets that they needed to fight in a Battle Royale to see which would prevail and be worthy of the freebie. Unfortunately, my cat just looked at me and then my dog started licking herself. I’m not sure those English lessons I’ve been paying for are working.

Free Dogswell Dog Food

While filling out the form for this free Dogswell dog food, did anybody else get stumped by the question asking about their pet’s DOB? I have no idea when my dog was born. I can hardly even remember my own birthday. I think it was sometime in 2005. Maybe January?

Wait, am I talking about my dog or me? Great, now I have to go find my birth certificate again.

$10 In Free Pedigree Coupons

If you have or are thinking about getting a puppy, sign up for $10 in free Pedigree coupons. They sadly didn’t accept my rationale that young children are the same as puppies, but not for lack of protesting. They give you the option of printing the coupons or waiting on them to be mailed to you, which is a nice touch.

As a parting gift, I leave you with a quote from one of our generation’s greatest minds.

Homer: Well, crying isn’t gonna bring him back, unless your tears smell like dog food. So you can either sit there crying and eating can after can of dog food until your tears smell enough like dog food to make your dog come back — or you can go out there and find your dog.
Bart: You’re right! I’ll do it.
[Bart runs out the kitchen]
Homer: Rats. I almost had him eating dog food!

Free Better Than Ears Dog Treats

EDIT: This freebie is no longer available.

These free Better Than Ears dog treats bill themselves as a “soft & chewy pig ear alternative.” Um…what? Are my dogs eating pig ears behind my back? I’d like to think I’d notice any suspicious looking ears lying around my house. Are they sampling my ears every time they wake me up by licking me? Fantastic, now I’m paranoid of my own dogs.
