‘Animals / Pets’ Freebies

Coupon: Free Halo Dog Treats ($5.99 value)

If you sign up for their newsletter, you’ll be able to print a $5.99 coupon for Halo dog treats. Chances are that wherever they’re sold nearest you won’t have them priced for much higher, so you should be able to get them for free or very cheap.

I’d never heard of this brand before, but a quick search through the archives shows that I posted a Halo freebie back in 2006.Whoops. I guess this proves that I have the memory of a goldfish. Another similar trait: we both constantly ram headfirst into a clean glass. I was 17 before I finally grasped the concept of a window.

Free Pet Window Decal

free-pet-decal

I know I’ve posted this free pet window decal before because it’s currently next to my front door, yet I can’t find the old post for the life of me. I’d make for a horrible detective. We probably only need one decal at any rate. The last thing I want is for firefighters to think I’ve got twenty dogs hiding in the house since I’ve got 10 decals plastered on the windows.

Free Eukanuba 2010 Calendar

EDIT: Hopefully you signed up earlier, because all of the free calendars are gone now!

In order to get this free Eukanuba 2010 calendar, look at the right side of the page for an arrow pointing towards the dog with a pink force field floating around her. From the looks of it, the calendar has nine puppies on the cover, so be prepared for massive amounts of “awwwwwwwww” once it arrives in the mail.

Free Hill’s Science Dog Food at Petco (10/24)

petco-costume-contest

If you think your dog will let you dress him/her up in a Halloween costume, then head to your local Petco store Saturday, October 24 and get a free 1lb. bag of Hill’s Science dog food! Too bad there’s no way either of my dogs will let me dress them up. They love me and all, but even they draw the line somewhere.

Additional prizes will be awarded and registration begins at 1 pm. The “contest” will be held from 2-4 pm and freebie supplies will obviously be on a first come, first serve basis.

Free PETA Stickers for Kids

Oh man, not these again! My sister has these free PETA stickers for kids and every time I go home, I have to see them and be reminded of how cute animals are. You know, it’s really hard to eat meat when you’re constantly being reminded of where it comes from. I enjoy my ignorance and would appreciate it if I could continue believing in the Meat Fairy, which is where all delicious food comes from obviously.

Free Exclusively Dog Cookies

EDIT: Looks like they’re out of supplies.

This freebie may be called Exclusively Dog Cookies, but I take offense to companies telling me that their products are exclusively for anything. Isn’t that up for me to decide? I almost think I should eat these cookies myself to prove the point.

Free Bag of Eukanuba Dog Food

EDIT: It looks like this is no longer available.

If you’d like a voucher for a free bag of Eukanuba dog food, then scroll to the bottom of their page and sign up for one. I just mentioned to my dog that she’d soon be getting free dog food, but I don’t think she was all that excited.

Come to think of it, she’s always gotten free dog food since I’ve been paying all these years! Fingers crossed she has a stash of cash hidden under her crate or else I’m out quite a bit of money.

Free Safety Around Dogs Video

Umm…folks, we’ve got a problem here. The very first sentence on the site for this free Safety Around Dogs video states “Children and dogs go together like peanut butter and jelly.” I hate to ask, but I think somebody needs to. Who’s eating children and dog sandwiches? Isn’t this sort of, maybe, potentially a crime and worth looking into? Why are we being so nonchalant about our nations dwindling children and dog population? Am I the only person worried here?

The video is designed for children in grades K-6 and is offered to teachers, librarians, youth group leaders, animal control officers, animal shelters, veterinarians and community and civic leaders. In order to get it, simply e-mail orderdesk@akc.org and include your name, school or affiliation (for example, the Boys and Girls Club), mailing address and daytime phone.

Free McCruelty Mask & Stickers

I post these free McCruelty mask & stickers from PETA only because the mask is pretty darn creepy. Plus it’s just in time for Halloween! I can’t wait to scare a few … Wait a minute …

McDonald’s. McCruelty. Oh, I see what you did there! Man, PETA, that is Clever with a capital c. Who thought of this idea?! Give that a person a raise – immediately! Oh man, it’s just so witty! I should probably go ahead and retire from writing, because there’s no way I’ll ever be able to top that little play on words! …

Free Hill’s Science Dog Treats

I have the unfortunate habit of reading aloud whatever I’m currently typing. It’s kind of an extra layer of editing, but it’s also not a good idea in certain situations. Case in point these free Hill’s Science dog treats. As I typed the title, my sleeping dogs awoke before I’d even finished saying “treats” and are now going crazy at my feet. The fact that I’ve said it again twice in the past 10 seconds is not helping matters at all.
