There’s a new class action settlement that many Hiffers may qualify for, especially since I’ve frequently posted their freebies and coupons. If you purchased select Seventh Generation items from 11/14/10 through 10/14/16 (that’s six years!), you may be eligible for a refund in the form of a check.
“A proposed nationwide Settlement has been reached in a class action lawsuit involving certain SVG Products. The Settlement resolves litigation over whether the Defendant allegedly violated state and federal laws regarding the labeling, marketing, and advertising of certain SVG Products.”
What is this lawsuit about?
The lawsuit alleges that the Defendant violated certain laws in labeling, marketing, and advertising of certain SVG Products. The Defendant denies any and all wrongdoing of any kind whatsoever, and denies any liability to Plaintiffs and to the Settlement Class.
In other words, people sued Seventh Generation over their claims of non-natural ingredients and chemicals. SVG admitted no wrongdoing and a settlement was reached.
Thus if you’ve purchased any of the listed items in the six year timeframe, you can submit a claim under penalty of perjury. Claims both with and without proof of purchase will be accepted, but all claims must be completed by 3/30/17.
The full list of qualifying products is quite extensive, so make sure to look it over if you’ve purchased Seventh Generation items before.
