Kodak just sent me an e-mail saying that new members can get 50 free 4×6 prints. I personally am photoed out and have nothing left to print. It’s probably because I only take around one photo every eight months. My life’s just not that interesting!

Story time! It should come as no surprise that I was a goofball in college and took every opportunity to procrastinate. One year my roommate was studying to be a lawyer and our favorite game was imaging the worst name for his future law firm. The best I came up with involved a local auditorium (The Koger Center), one of my favorite Seinfeld characters (Mr. Kruger), and our nearby grocery store (Kroger). The end result was Koger, Kruger, and Kroger! I can’t even say it once without laughing, but then again, I’m an idiot.

Speaking of Kroger, they currently have a deal where you can get two free Hasbro card games! You’ll need a copy of yesterday’s (Nov. 15) USA Weekend, where you’ll find a BOGO Hasbro coupon on page 3. Finally! I’ve had this darn post in the editing queue for almost 48 hours because I couldn’t confirm it to be legit, but I just got back from Walgreens with a bag full of Kleenex and my pockets only a few cents lighter.

The third and final round for Kodak’s free $15 gift code started yesterday and will be available to the first 100,000 people to sign up. Unfortunately, the discount doesn’t apply to shipping and you can’t receive another free $15 if you got one during the first two rounds. However, a slew of new readers have discovered HIF recently and many Hiffers commented on the last post and mentioned that they got some great items for little more than the cost of shipping, including a family photo book, Christmas ornaments and photo cards, and personalized coffee mugs.

Folks, I’ve got good news and bad news. The bad news is that the free monthly Redbox rental code program has now changed. Users are texted a unique code that is only valid for one-time uses only, which means the code they sent me this morning cannot be shared like months past.

However, Redbox also has an official Facebook group and an official Twitter account, where they posted the same code. I just got back from using it at two different Redbox kiosks, so it’s clearly not a one-use only code. Thus, we shall rejoice in the fact that I have no life and was able to spend an hour confirming today’s code of TEGJ6FD. Also, thanks goes to Tracy on HIF’s Facebook page for tipping me off on this.

Yesterday, Oprah gave away a coupon for 50% off any Payless shoes and it’s only valid for today, Friday, October 30. I just forwarded this to my brother, as his current shoes have more duct tape than actual shoe. It does have some benefits though. Many Walgreens have Brita water pitchers on clearance for $8.49 right now. When purchased, they give out $3 in Register Rewards for a future purchase and there’s also a printable $5 coupon for any Brita system which brings the final price down to $0.49!

In order to get the coupon, look for a link in the “Go Green, Save Green” box. You’ll have to signup on the site for a free account and then you’ll be prompted to print out the coupon. Also, some people have mentioned that their local Walgreens were already sold out of the Brita, so you might want to call ahead.

MaxPerks are Office Max’s version of a rewards program and are only available to businesses and schools, but they’re pretty lax on registration. They’re a non-profit consumer agency that reviews everything from digital cameras to lawnmowers to dishwashers and they’re quite blunt if a product is superb, average, or downright atrocious. Kinda like me. I’m not afraid to tell it like it is! Just as long as it doesn’t bother anybody. I wouldn’t want to hurt their feelings.

I personally didn’t take this survey, as I already have a subscription with them, but others have said it’s a bit on the long side. Still, it’s a good deal if you want a second opinion before buying something.
