In-Store Freebie Events This Weekend

There are two good in-store freebie events this weekend, both of which look like fun but aren’t available to me as an adult. Stupid mother nature and her cruel “aging” process.

Lowe’s Build & Grow is holding their next clinic on Saturday, Nov. 21 from 10-11am where they’ll let kids build a free snowman. As usual, register in advance if you think you’ll attend, as space & supplies are limited.

Next, Borders is hosting a free Polar Express Pajama Party on Saturday from 11am-1pm! If your local store is participating and near a Lowe’s, you could go straight from one freebie event to the next. They’ll have a storytime with The Polar Express, holiday carols, and raffle / giveaways.

Print out this page and take it to the Lancome Counter at any Nordstrom to get a free Absolue Precious Cells SPF 15 cream. I came here fully prepared to make fun of Lancome for misspelling “absolute,” but then got worried that “absolue” was a foreign word. So I took the safe route and just drew a picture of a bear riding a dolphin. It’s awesome, you should see it; the bear’s snarling, the dolphin’s winking, and I even gave them both little hats and monocles for fun!

In related news, strangers often refuse to talk to me in public. Not sure why…

Free Lowe’s Build & Grow Clinic on 11/14

These free Lowe’s Build & Grow Clinics always sneak up on me and I forget to post them. Well take this, faulty memory! I remembered that the next clinic is Saturday, November 14 from 10-11am where they’ll be making a toy car garage. As always, space is limited, so register online if your kids want to attend tomorrow.

I’ve got good news, great news, and amazing news. Let’s get to them in that order. Good news: you can get a free Caramel Creme Coffee smoothie at your local Tropical Smoothie Cafe from 7am-7pm on Wednesday, Nov. 11. That’s tomorrow!

Great news: they’re also giving away free smoothies on each of the two next Wednesdays (Nov. 18 & 25). Can I get three cheers for three free smoothies in one month?

And now, the amazing news: I made a meal last night that didn’t give me food poisoning! And I’m eating the leftovers for lunch! Don’t look now, but I could almost pass as a self sufficient adult.

As the image above shows, they have a wide variety of scents available. I’m personally having trouble deciding between “flirty” and “pretty.” Which do you think will help the most with the ladies?

Not content with giving away free toys on Halloween (more on that soon!), Sears is also giving away a free Halloween-themed portrait collage worth $44! You’ve got until Saturday, October 31 to use the coupon and the fine print says nothing about making an additional purchase.* So if your kid looks especially cute in their costume this year (and come on, how can they not?), you might want to take advantage of this.

*According to Freebies 4 Mom, some people have had mixed success with this. If you’re interested, make sure to call your local store and confirm they’re participating.

If you stop in at Victoria’s Secret and get a free bra fitting, then you can also get free Beauty Rush lip gloss. I’m nowhere near mature enough to write about bra fittings, so let’s collectively sigh in relief and thank our deity of choice that this post is now over.

The coupon expires on November 15, but supplies are limited. If you’re at work, you might want to wait until you get home to print the coupon as there’s an image of a model in a bra.

It turns out that today is not only free KFC and awesome Boston Market deal day, but it’s also World Pasta Day. In celebration, Buca di Beppo (heh heh, that’s fun to say) is giving away free spaghetti with any entree or pasta purchase today, Monday, October 26! Their restaurant locations are a bit scattered, but if you have one nearby, I’d consider taking up this offer not only for the free spaghetti, but because they’ll also send home with you a free package of Rummo pasta.

Free Hill’s Science Dog Food at Petco (10/24)

If you think your dog will let you dress him/her up in a Halloween costume, then head to your local Petco store Saturday, October 24 and get a free 1lb. bag of Hill’s Science dog food! Too bad there’s no way either of my dogs will let me dress them up. They love me and all, but even they draw the line somewhere.

We wrote about it last month, but in case you missed it, all you have to do is register for an appointment on-line. I have no idea what a Frankenstring magic trick kit is, but that’s what they’re building at the next free Lowe’s Build & Grow Clinic this Saturday, October 24 from 10-11am. Anybody with half a brain knows that magic is fantastic, so this should be a fun little toy to build. I just wish I could actually do some magic. I always end up picking the wrong card or setting my sleeve on fire.

The Associated Press is reporting that on Monday, October 26, anybody can stop in and get a free piece of grilled chicken at KFC. If you’ve been a fan of freebies for a while, you might remember they had a similar offer back in May. They were so overwhelmed with requests that they had to issue rainchecks. I guess that’s what happens when Oprah talks about it. They promise to be ready this time around, so here’s to a free lunch this coming Monday!

Also, if you’re a regular of KFC, they have a dozen or so printable coupons on their site.

Here’s a coupon for a free T.G.I. Friday’s appetizer with the purchase of a drink at the bar between 4pm – close. There’s no limit on the drink (it can be alcoholic or non) and the coupon expires on November 1, 2009. I guess I know where I’ll be on Halloween. To heck with giving out candy, I want free food!

There’s also a coupon for a $5 sandwich or salad for lunch, but how much do they normally cost? Is that even a decent deal?

Walgreens currently has a sale going on where, when combined with some free printable coupons, you can get two free packs of Trident gum between now and the end of the month! First, there’s a free Trident Layers Gum coupon on HIF’s SS page for $1/2. Then, you also get $1 Register Reward when you buy two packs. So you pay $1 out of pocket today, but that $1 RR can be used on anything during your next visit, thus making the gum in effect free! Make sure you stick around for the $1 RR to print out though – I almost walked out of the store this afternoon without grabbing it.

The coupon is valid until November 9 and it says you’ll need to bring a valid photo ID, so don’t use a fake name like Dr. Faker McFakerson. Unless that’s your real name, in which case, I’d love to meet your parents sometime. I have a feeling we’d hit it off.

Coupons.com has a free $3 coupon for Neosporin Lip Therapy [FF link] [IE link] [Safari link] and currently, CVS is selling it for right around $5.50. However, if you use your free Extra Care card when checking out, you get an addition $2.50 off instantly.

My very remedial math skills tell me that $5.50-$3-$2.50=$0, but then again, I just tried to drink the hot wax from the candle sitting next to me. What?! It smells like pumpkin pie and I’m hungry!
