RewardsGold has a new offer available that casual drinkers will love – a free one year Wine Spectator magazine subscription! I’m not sure why anybody would want to watch wine, especially when they could be drinking it, but to each their own. I’m personally a Shiraz fan and I don’t know about you, but all this talk about wine is making me thirsty. But it’s not even noon yet… don’t ever let somebody tell you working from home doesn’t have its perils!

I’ve never heard of Successful Living magazine, but I’m a fan of both succeeding and living, so I’m game for a free subscription. To be honest, I probably shouldn’t sign up for any more free magazines. I already have a stack of unread ones sitting next to my desk that is at least a foot high. At its current rate of growth, it will be large enough to topple upon me within weeks. There are some interesting ways to die, but being crushed under a mountain of freebies doesn’t sound like my cup of tea.

This free Baseball Digest subscription is just in time as my old subscription just expired. Speaking of baseball, we’re at a fairly precarious point in the sporting season. We’re mere weeks away from the long wait until spring training and unless your football team is any good, there’s nothing to watch during the winter. I’m serious, I think hibernation is the way of the future. Just imagine it: the World Series ends, you go to sleep, and you wake up just before opening day. You skip all of the cold months and you don’t have to pretend to be interested in hockey or basketball!

Just thinking about this free two year subscription to Travel & Leisure magazine makes me want to kick back and relax for the rest of the afternoon. Then again, just about anything makes me want that. In fact, why shouldn’t I?! It’s not like I missed most of last week or anythi… oh, right.

Make sure you select not to receive a free magazine trial of All You since you’ll probably get billed after the trial. However, if you’re interested in getting a subscription, Amazon sells a one-year subscription for $19.95, which is only $1.66/issue. Since each magazine has dozens of coupons in it, you end up getting the issue for free after using only one or two coupons.

I’ve never heard of RewardsCountry before, but they look exactly like RewardsGold, are on the same server as them, and by all accounts are owned by the same folks. As my dad always said, if it look like a bear, smells like a bear, and sounds like a bear, then you’re screwed. He wasn’t the best advice giver.

Anyway, RewardsCountry is giving away a free Metropolitan Home magazine subscription. Their survey’s aren’t even that random as they’re looking for info on how your style your bedroom. Unfortunately “with way too much geeky memorabilia” wasn’t an option.

I can’t tell if this free Dog’s Life magazine is only for one issue or a full subscription, but I signed up regardless. Nether of my dogs have ever shown even the slightest desire to read anything in my house, but if this is something they’d be interested in, then I’m all for it.

I actually have two Maxim subscriptions already, so I doubt I need a third copy of each month’s issue. There are only so many paper airplanes and pirate hats a man can make before it just starts getting weird.

I’m not much of an Oprah fan, but I do like the fact that she’s giving away four free O magazine issues. I also like how her production company, Harpo, is simply her name spelled backwards. When I discovered that fact as a kid, it almost blew my mind. Kids are easily amused like that. Speaking of easily amused, my cat’s been playing with the same ball of dust for the past 20 minutes. I keep meaning to talk to our apartment complex’s postal person. You see, my box is east facing, and during hard rains, water seems to seep into it. Yesterday, it was a Harry & David catalog it ruined, but thankfully not a birthday card that arrived for my wife.

Maybe I should just sign up for this free Kiplinger magazine subscription. Its not like I read any of the magazines that come to my apartment anyways, so I could just leave it at the bottom to soak up any water that might leak through…
