Twitter Freebies

Free $5 Amazon Video Credit

EDIT: This is no longer available.

If you have a Twitter account (and judging from the 57,000 of you following HIF, you do!) then use it to get a free $5 Amazon video on demand credit. After clicking the yellow “Tweet and get $5 button,” it’ll link your Twitter and Amazon accounts together and then you should get a confirmation screen saying the credit has been applied to your account.

You can use this credit to “rent a new release movie, catch up on recent TV seasons, or even watch your favorite TV shows the day after they air.” And if you want to unlink your accounts, well then check out this handy guide I wrote a while back.

[thanks Robn!]

Free $5 Amazon Video on Demand Credit

As the follower count to HIF’s Twitter feed shows, most of you have a Twitter page. If you don’t mind making one tweet about Amazon, you can get $5 in Amazon Video on Demand credit for free. Just go to their page and click on the yellow button. That will take you to Twitter, follow the instructions, and the $5 will be credited to your account. You’ve got until tomorrow, June 19, to snag this offer.

Free MojoMilk

EDIT: They’ve changed this offer so that it now requires a shipping fee. To heck with that.

You’re suposed to share this free MojoMilk offer either on Facebook or Twitter in order to get the freebie. However, the confirmation message appears immediately after submitting the form, so I canceled out of the popup window.

Now for the important question: what the heck is MojoMilk? Chocolate milk has chocolate, strawberry milk contains strawberries, so I can only assume MojoMilk is packed full of mojo for when you’re a little off your game.

Free Seattle’s Best Coffee

EDIT: This is no longer available.

Hate the Facebook offers? How about a Twitter freebie! All you have to do is follow @SeattlesBest then fill out the form here. There aren’t even any Twitter apps to delete afterwords!

While you’re there, why not follow @HeyItsFree? It’s where I post freebies and make fun of stupid TV shows! You could argue that makes me stupid for watching them, but I’d appreciate if you didn’t.

Free Energizer Nail Polish From ShopText

You can get free Energizer nail polish from ShopText by texting SUMMER to 467467. We’ve written about them before, but long story short they’re a legit company that’s trying to make freebies via text messages more popular.

Wow, that was pretty short.

How to Delete Twitter Apps

I figured it was time for me to post a tutorial on deleting Twitter apps. Why? Because I care. Also, I’m super bored and the half dozen people I’m playing in Chess With Friends are taking hours to make their moves. I’m half convinced they’ve got a program calculating every possibility to help cheat.

Before we get started, if you’re so inclined, you can follow HIF and/or myself on Twitter. The HIF feed is for freebies while my feed is where I swear about stupid things in my life. It’s fun.

So, the one thing we have going for us is revoking access on Twitter is a whole heck of a lot easier than on Facebook. Step one, obviously, is logging into your account. Once there, you want to click the arrow next to your name in the top right.

Coupon: Free Candy or Drink at CVS

A lot of people complain about the number of freebies on Facebook now, so let’s see if they have the same aversion to Twitter. CVS is offering a coupon for a free candy or drink. Similar to Facebook freebies, you have to access their Twitter app in order to get this freebie. I guess it’s time for me to make a tutorial on removing these as well. Based on my current to-do list, the expected ETA for that is around 2046.

Are You Following HIF on Twitter or Facebook?

Occasionally people ask why they should follow HIF’s Twitter or Facebook page. Well, for starters, it’s how some Hiffers were able to get the large Tide sample from last week’s Freebies Received post.

Basically I sometimes find smaller offers or freebies that are about to expire. Neither are worth the time or effort it would take to write a proper post, either because they’re only available for certain people or will die before I can think of something funny. So instead I throw them up on Twitter and Facebook.

As a bonus, questions asked on Facebook are answered by other Hiffers somewhat lightyears faster than if they were emailed to me. Turns out they’re a pretty helpful and knowledgable bunch.

So if you’re not already following HIF on Twitter or Facebook, what the heck are you waiting for?

Free Binaca

Free Binaca

EDIT: This is no longer available.

If you want some free binaca, you can get a coupon for one free product via snail mail by signing up on their site. You have to click on steps one and two before the signup form appears under step three and you’ll also have to confirm your email. The coupon should be good at all Walgreens and Wal-Marts but it might also work at additional stores.

On a related note, can anybody else think of binaca without simultaneously thinking of Jim Carrey talking with his butt in Ace Ventura? If so, kudos to you.

[thanks Common Sense with Money!]

Free 1GB Creative Zen MP3 Player

EDIT: Looks like this one died pretty quick.

Napster just posted on their Facebook page that anybody can get a free 1GB Creative Zen MP3 player by commenting of their status about the first concert you ever saw. You have to mention who it was, what year it occurred, and where it was held. After you’ve done so, send an email to blogger@napster.com with your name and address and make sure to put EWW 7/7 in the subject line.

They’re also offering this through their Twitter page. Simple follow them, tweet the same info as requested above, and then email your info.

A 1 gig MP3 player isn’t that big, but it should be more than enough to hold all of my High School Musical soundtrack CDs! What can I say, I like to rock out while I’m working.

[thanks Michael!]
