We used to use this one a lot in school for sourcing various country statistics. Its widely accepted as the most detailed basic resource to head to for anything/everything you might be interested about any country worldwide.

Highly highly recommend this one for anyone referring to any sort of countries in any papers they're using...

Its honestly one of the best resources around. Just the included facts, details, and the frequency of how often its updated, well, its like the CIA is briefing the president AND you! :)

this is kinda off topic but if you use the Firefox Web Browser, "Zotero" (http://www.zotero.org/) is an AMAZING study aid!

How does one obtain such a Book from the CIA?
It does not tell how to do this, other than their Secure E Mail form.
