As I said in the description, this isn't a freebee, but I think that this is an appropriate forum. It is free in the sense that you're just adding it to your cell phone bill as if you went over your minutes a little for the month, so as a whole, its a very cool thing you can do that doesn't take much time.

I received a text message from the Obama presidential campaign, but it doesn't matter if you're Democrat or Republican for this one, we're all Americans as McCain has said about this time of crisis and need.

You can donate $5 by just texting the word "GIVE" to the number 24357. They send you a confirmation message, and you just have to tell them "YES" and your donation is added to your cell phone bill. Do this as often as you'd like, but remember that each time you do this, (1) standard text messaging rates apply and (2) its a $5 donation for each text you send to 24357.

So, there's a quick and easy way that's free of your time and you having to dig for a checkbook and stamps and envelope to send it all out. I guess that's the only freebee really to it. :)

I saw on the news where the Gustav Relief effort is costing over $70 million and yet the Red Cross has only received $5 million in donations. :(

Yeah, that's not good at all... It doesn't take much to do the whole cell phone thing I mentioned there, and besides, $5 more on a cell bill? Its never bad at all...
