I have two of these events that are a 45 minute drive from where I live. (Nothing local) However, both events are on two separate days and in two different locations.

Sounds like I'm going to be doing some driving that weekend.

The nearest one for me is 35 minutes away, so I won't be going. But I may tell my mom about it. Hey, Rachel, there's one not far from your mom, if she is interested.

Or we could meet in the middle somewhere, Froggie! Seeing you, me, and Rachel are sorta like a Midwestern-Freebee-Triangle :)

Adam, I think you made a post about this in the "introduction" section by mistake. 'Tis OK. Crazy times are stressing us all out.  :P

Peoria is about a three hour drive from me. Isn't there one of these events in Champaign?

Shaynon, you and Goob are the dynamic freebee duo of the East coast!

Yup, I did make a post in the wrong thread, Rachel... I thought the board ate my post... Just having "one of those days" for lack of a better way of saying it...

And yeah, there's actually 2 that are by me. one that's like 2 miles south and one that's like 4 miles north. Like I said in the other thread, the north one has theirs on Saturday, the south one has theirs on Sunday. So a nice split right there. :)

Only in certain stores. Open site, click on your state and a list of participating stores with addresses will pop up.

Oh, Adam! You are so lucky! I can't believe that I have two Wal-marts right close to me, but neither one of them is having the event. So I'm going to drive to Iowa on that Saturday and then over to Missouri on that Sunday. (45 minutes appx. to both) It will be fun and goodness knows I need a nice drive to somewhere.

Trust me when I say that I think we are all having "one of those days, weeks, years..." :P

They're hosting the event at the Wal-Mart right up the street. But there's no way, Jose, I'm going to a Wal-Mart on a weekend. Last time I did, I was afraid that grabbing the last can of Spaghetti-O's and would anger a soccer mom and make her hit me with her Louis Vuitton Bag in the face. Never again. >.<

Oh my... when I read that I about choked on my tea.

Maybe if you go later in the day. Most moms I know go at the crack of dawn.

Ok, so I went to my local store that was taking part in the event.

I am a little disappointed in the event. I did I quick trip into the store to look for a Halloween Costume. I walked through. They had a few tables set up.

Most were samples for fiber things, some kids mouthwash, some diabetes testing info. I didn't find any coupons.

I did get one good sample of the Lypsl chapstick. Its a small sample, but I really like it.

I guess every store is different. I went to a Wal-Mart in Iowa this morning and they had some girls handing out bags.

In my bag, I got:

A small sample of Crisco no-stick spray (It's really cute and hey...it's travel size. LOL!) This also came with some recipes.
A sample of Emergen-C pink
Two Carefree panty liners
A brochure about Smart Ones Morning Express
A brochure about Weight Watchers cheese w/ recipes

I also got the Lypsyl Lip balm sample and a sample taste of the new Hormel Chili Master Chili, Eggo Bake Shop Swirls, and the new Strawberry Rice Krispy Treats.

Did not see any fiber, kids stuff, or diabetes stuff. I guess it depends on what each store wants to promote.
