During this past Christmas holiday, I took the time to read Atlas Shrugged since it was too cold to actually go outside and try to do anything that required basic motor skills. It was actually pretty darn good and the overall message was a bit inspiring to a young and impressionable mind like myself.
On the flip side, I've always had a little space in my heart for random quotes and to a certain extent, commencement speeches. I just love the thought of trying to sum up four years of college and the shock of the coming future in a seven minute speech. Jon Stewart, Stephen Colbert, and Conan O'Brien have gave some of my favorites (at mine, I had the Father of Aerobics. I kid you not …. And. It. Was. Horrible.) Anyways, I figured since I like her writing and I love hopeful and optimistic speeches, I might enjoy this free Ayn Rand commencement speech! But first, I'm gonna have to find an actual cassette player!
