Goob here. Looks like this wasn't a legit freebie folks. Massive apologies for any confusion or headaches we caused by posting it.
I'm getting a lot of worried e-mails from people asking if this company now has access to their e-mail or credit card information and the answer is no! I signed up for the “freebie” like everybody else and the only information they have is our mailing address and e-mail address. That's it. Which means, we'll most likely see an increase of junk mail going directly to our spam folder.
The confirmation e-mail that they sent out had a link in it, which I also clicked. Some of you were worried that this might give them access to your e-mail account, but I can assure you they don't! In order to have access to your e-mail, you would have had to give them your password and nowhere did they ask for that.
Please don't worry folks. This is simply a fake freebie set up with the sole purpose of collecting our e-mails. As long as you have a spam filter (and 99% of emails do), then you're fine. There are hundreds of these set up every day and we here at HIF do our best to identify them and kick them to the curb. This is the first one that's slipped past us in a long while, but I can assure you nothing catastrophic will come of it 🙂
Now back to the freebies!
And just now, as I get ready to crawl into bed, I'm always reminded of the pertinence of having a baby blanket. Why, I still have mine. Honest! Its folded up and used underneath my pillow each and every night. Yup, just as an additional level of fluffy goodness for a good nights sleep.
And with this free baby blanket and stuffed animal, well, here's to another super soft blanket, and pretending that I'm younger than I actually am…
