3 Free Hallmark Mahogany Cards!

Hallmark is sending out 3 free Mahogany cards to help celebrate Black History Month! And they're giving away a million of them!

Don't worry, they're spreading them out so that we each get a free 3-card pack of greeting cards. I don't know what I'd do if they sent me all one million freebies. It'd probably involve building the world's largest greet card fort on my apartment's roof.

These ship without any cost, so enter your mailing address and you're all set to get this $9 value freebie. After submitting your address, you'll get a confirmation number on the next screen.

Last year, Hallmark gave away 3 million general greeting cards in total (they ran this promo three separate times). My friends and family don't have many winter birthdays, so I went with a generic “get well soon!” card. It's nice to have them on hand for those last minute events. In fact, I keep a drawer full of them, some of which include timeless messages as “Y2K is almost here!” and “I'm glad to hear you didn't contract SARS.”

If you love this freebie, then you'd love my mom. I swear, there are more unused Hallmark cards in her house than any other object. You could combine every individual coin, light bulb, and battery and I promise you there'd still be 10 times the number of cards. I'm sure if I dug deep enough in the drawer, I could find something for National Dog Day.

Sorry, but this freebie has expired.

However here are five recent freebies still available!

  1. I love your mom for giving you to this world! Yours is the best website out right now – keeping us all sane in these crazy times. Thank you both!

  2. Too funny. My mom was the same way. Well, it’s the moms that are the ones thoughtful enough to send cards. In all seriousness, one good card to keep on hand is a sympathy card. Not just because of the current situation, but always. It’s the most important card to send out, even if you aren’t the type to send cards. An emailed sympathy card just doesn’t have the right tone.

  3. Oh man! I’m really sad that I missed this offer! When do you think the next free code will be posted? Is there an email subscription that I could sign up for to be notified of the free code? Also, do these codes apply to thank you ecards?

  5. Just wanted to say many thanks for the April codes (used both you published) both for mother’s day cards for our niece and my best friend – both received them and loved them! Tried to use the ICT one and received the same message as listed above (didn’t contact customer service since they didn’t give me the code – LOL!). Know that Goob will be hooking us up with more – after all the trouble of fixing Dad/hubby’s Father’s Day card up with colored print and special messages, etc. didn’t want to delete so sucked it up and bought it! Still need to get hubby’s b’day and son’s b’day cards for next mo., though – so hope codes come soon!!! Many thanks Goob for all you save us!!!

  10. Hey I just sent a birthday card and it worked fine. Then I signed out and signed back in as my alias and tried a fathers day card and it said the code was invalid or expired. It had only been 2 minutes since i sent the first one.

  11. Dang, after spending 10 minutes coming up with a heartfelt message, I got the invalid/expired code. Oh, well. I did get my Quattro razor today so that made it all better.

  14. Morgan, are you sure you typed in the code correctly? I just did a second run of making a card and on the checkout page, after entering the code, my price went from $3.93 to $0.00.

However I made my Mom a Mother’s Day card and she received it on time. I didn’t use the free promotion because I wanted the music and my brothers and my picture in it.

  16. I think you can pick the date you want it to arrive by. Or, send it to yourself to mail or give in person. They will send it in a seperate envelope.

  17. Does anyone know when this promo-code expires? I don’t know of any holidays coming up, besides my boyfriends graduation in June. But, I don’t want to send that to him quite yet! Haha.

  18. Linda,

I had the same issue, I ordered it on April 30th still has not arrived. At least you heard back from Hallmark, I still have not.

  19. Linda, I have had good luck and bad luck with my Mother’s day cards by Hallmark.

One suggestion, create a card and instead of sending it directly to your special someone, send it to yourself. That way, at least you are not stuck wondering if it arrived and you don’t have to be embarrassed by asking and being told “no, I didn’t get anything from you!”

  20. I signed up at the end of April for a free Hallmark Mother’s Day card to be sent. Well, today is May 13, 3 days after Mother’s Day and the card was never received by the intended recipient. I contacted Hallmark and was told that there had been a delay.
I was very disappointed. What’s the point of having a free offer when the company doesn’t come through?
