Free Lowe’s & Toys R Us Events on 04/17

I guess these free Lowe's Build & Grow Clinic are every weekend now, because tomorrow from 10-11am they'll be building a free flower planter. After your finished playing Bob The Builder, head over to Toys R Us from 11am 1-pm for a free Thomas the Tank Engine event.

Okay, I had to put my cat down this morning, so I'm not feeling the funny today. She was a fantastic, old kitty who loved sunning all morning, sleeping on our chests at night, and slyly letting the dogs get close enough to almost sniff her butt before smacking their heads at any hour of the day. In other words, she spent 19 years rockin' out. She'll be dearly missed in the Goob household, but damn, you could not have asked for a better cat.

Sorry, but this freebie has expired.

However here are five recent freebies still available!

  1. So sorry about the loss of your beloved cat. I have 2 rescue dogs that make my life so much more enjoyable. I don’t know what I’d do without them. I hope that your wonderful memories of all the good times you shared make the pain more bearable.

  6. That is sad news. I paid extra attention to my beloved (and very spoiled) cat, and fed him the free can of Iam’s wet cat food I got last week that you turned us onto.

It was liver Pate with ocean fish flavor & he loved it!! Think I just got suckered into buying this on a regular basis…. but thanks goob & Iam’s.

  9. So sorry for your loss. Lost my baby girl last year. She ruled over 3 kids, 3 other cats, a few squirrels, and a 75 lb english bulldog for 19 years. My home still feels empty without her. Her I.D. tags are still hanging on my keychain. We understand. It gets easier but you’ll never forget.

  10. Goob, I am so very sorry for your loss. I grew up with a dog (my parents had her when I was born) who died at 23 – I was 16 and it was so hard. It’s never gotten easier to lose any pet family member – but it is so worth it to have them (and their unconditional love) in our lives.

Cats totally rock. I’m so sorry.

  14. I don’t normally leave comments, I just wanted to leave my condolences over the loss of your kitty. Two years ago, my cat had to be put down, and he was 19 as well. My mother got him before I was born, so I’d never known life without that cat. It’s really hard then your furry friends have to go. Just remember that you gave the cat a fantastic life, and she was happy and loved you.
I wish I could suggest some magical fix that makes that makes everything okay, but the truth is there’s no such thing. Take your time and grieve, and don’t let anyone tell you that she was “just a cat.” And of course, I’m sure you know that we all will understand if you’re “not so funny” for the next few days. We definitely couldn’t blame you for it.

  19. So sorry to hear you had to put your cat down. No matter how long we have with them, it never seems enough. It’s been a tough for week for me as well. My grandfather in is the Hospital, and he is on a ventillator. We thought today he would have to be taken off it because he wasn’t improvingt. But he is, so for Today he is alive !!! I don’t know what tomorrow will bring, but today he is alive. That day you have with them, is precious, and all you really have. But you have had it with her, and she with you Goob. And she love you all the same for it.
And Goob I believe animals that you love will try to come back to you. So don’t be surprised if you end up with another cat who will boss the dogs around as well.
Thank you also for your postings over these last few months. They have been something I can do online, quietly while he is resting and I can sometimes get things that he enjoys. My grandfather is 89, and I not ready to let go, and I don’t think he is quite yet.

  21. Goob, my heart is very sad for you and your kitty. You took good care of each other for her to be with you so very long. Crissy S., I’m sorry for you and your bundle of fluff, too – heartwrenching. What would we do without these babies? The world wouldn’t be any fun, for sure.
