I've had the Omaha Steaks before, and I remember the same thing about them that I remember about the Chicago Stockyard meat: I was more enamored with the dry ice than the meat. That's not to say that the steaks and hot dogs I've had from them weren't good, its just saying that dry ice is awesome.
Sadly, though, I don't think this free Omaha Steaks cookbook and coupon packet has any dry ice coming with it. Hopefully I'll find it just as interesting…
send cookbook please.
That’s odd. I’ve bought meat from Omaha Steaks for many years, for myself and as thank you gifts for others, and they have never called me. They used to send sales flyers by mail, but even those have stopped coming. I receive emails from them and place my orders online. If you are registered with the National Do Not Call list, they won’t call you. You can sign up for that here: https://www.donotcall.gov/register/reg.aspx
Hey folks, there’s some confusion on this one.
When you sign up for the freebie, you don’t have to buy anything. On the confirmation screen is the offer for the steaks. If you’re seeing that? Your information is in just fine. You don’t need to buy anything. π
thats why you use a fake number that way you dont get hounded via phone lol someone else does ha ha ha
Listen to Amy…I have also been hounded by Omaha Steaks….it can get ugly (and it’s hard to be ugly with the free Dove samples) trying to get them to stop calling…all their great deals for middle of the road food…Find a dry ice company and at least have some fun.
I wouldn’t sign up for this. I once sent someone some Omaha Steaks as a thank you gift and they hounded me endlessly by phone even after I begged them to stop calling. I would not willingly put myself on their radar again.
I have to agree with Adam on this one. The bags of dry ice that came with the meat were a lot of fun. We had it in our sink. It was smoking and bubbling like Halloween. The burgers we got were ok. Glad I only paided $3.98 for 20 of them. If I would have paid full price I would of been disappointed.
I entered my information and got a thank you, and then just like Adam, received a “special offer” on steaks. There was nothing about a charge for the cookbook. Guess I’ll know for sure if it went through if the book shows up in the mail!
Hopefully it went through, it just didn’t give us confirmation! It happens…. right?
Same song second verse same as the first…no free nothing..they want a whooping $49.95 — for a COOKBOOK! OMG…it must really be something, but not for me. I’ll stick with resale shops and thrift stores to find reasonable priced cookbooks…they even have steak recipes in them!
I just tried at 3:20pm EST and it is NOT free! Where did you get this one Goob?
yeah i put in my info and hit sumit but then it said Buy it for $49.95. Maybe we only get a sample cook book?!?
As with Veronica, I too could not figure out how to request cookbook without the 49.95 charge, so I had to skip it. Darn!
Hmmm… That’s weird, Veronica. When I requested mine, it gave me a special steak offer, but it still went through…
Albeit, the “special steak offer” that it gives looks a little suspicious and if you don’t read it right, it makes it seems like you HAVE to buy it. You shouldn’t have to buy it, and you should be good and getting your free cookbook! π
Its not free π It said I can pay for a cookbook after I’ve put in all of my info… Am I doing something wrong???
