Free Rachael Ray Pet Food

Rachael Ray has a new signup form for free cat and dog food samples of her Nutrish line. You can request. After 3 questions, I was offered to choose from the following samples:

  • Dog Food – PEAK Wetlands Recipe with Chicken, Duck & Pheasant
  • Dog Food – Zero Grain Turkey & Potato Recipe
  • Cat Food – Longevity – Chicken with Chickpeas & Salmon Recipe
  • Cat Food – PEAK Woodland Catch Recipe with Chicken, Trout & Salmon

Although let's be real, if your dogs are anything like mine, the cat food becomes dog food the second you turn your back to answer the phone or change the channel or freaking blink while sneezing.

Make sure to submit all your info after entering your address! You should get a confirmation message that reads “Your sample is on its way, and should arrive in 6-8 weeks.”

Sorry, but this freebie has expired.

However here are five recent freebies still available!

  1. Took me 3 times to figure out how to request the sample.

    BLOND MOMENT X 3.

Will give to my neighbor who feeds the local feral cats.

  2. The last time this came around, we put some in my cat’s bowl. He ran to the bowl, went to eat it, then stopped, spat out what he had in his mouth, and looked at me with such a look of utter betrayal and despair that we ended up throwing the rest of the bag away. I felt so bad, but it was hilarious.

  3. There doesn’t seem to be a free sample for the dog foods, just various coupons. The salmon cat food sample is still good as of this writing though.

  4. I just can’t bring myself to feed my dog anything called “nutrish”. I’d be afraid she’d think it was “delish” and start using other annoying ray-rayisms like EVOO and YUM-O.

  5. Last time I got RR food and gave it to my dog, not only did my dog stare suspiciously at it and stop eating after two bites, she THREW UP. Cat poop doesn’t make my dog throw up, but Ray-Ray’s dog food does.

  6. You can also get the regular Nutrish dog food if you already have a healthy weight dog … just click on the Rachael Ray Nutrish banner just below her picture in the upper left corner and you will be taken back to the main site and you can choose your sample from the right side of the main page … good luck 🙂

  7. I got this for my little guy. It came about 10 days ago. He doesn’t eat a lot so the first day I mixed it half & half and the second day I just put a bit of his old kibble in. He snarfed it right up with no stomach upset later that I could see/smell. I don’t know how discerning his palate is (considering that he also ate a cotton ball and a bit of wool that floated away from my spinning basket that week) but I am going to buy him a bag of it using the money-off coupon included in the sample when his current bag is empty.

  8. This food is not good for any dog. Free is too expensive, one of the ingredients is “animal fat” that could be from euthanized pets. Seriously, bad stuff. Don’t do it if you love your dog at all.

  9. samples are fine to either mix in with current food or to give as training treats, but if you keep changing up your doggies food they will have poopy issues

  10. I keep getting “Sorry! Only one sample per household” 🙁 Oh well. My dog still has some samples leftover, I just use them as treats or for training.

  11. neither on of my dogs would eat this crap the last time. And one of them will try to eat chicken crap if she thinks that I am not looking! Anyway, I think I will stick to good ol’ Bill jack.

  12. Dogs “like” food like this because it tastes great! It’s like a kid eating Fruit Loops…

Garbage is better than some of the dog foods out there (Kibbles N’ Bits, Ol’ Roy, etc)

  13. Tony is correct, that is where you click for it. As for “poop” problems, my little Axel loved the sample the first time I received this, and he did not have any “issues” after eating it. 🙂

  14. I don’t see on the website where they are offering the free sample…however…I would not give her products to my dog even if they were free…NO fillers?? Really? what the hell is rice flour and oat fiber…dogs in the wild don’t eat that crap. Sheesh. No wonder these little dogs are having so much problems with anal gland impaction…the food they eat now does not produce hard enough stools in order to ensure the natural secretion of those glands!! Sorry..enough of my diatribe…

  18. gave this to my dog in place of her regular dry food, and she took one sniff and looked at me as if “what this”. Left it in her bowl all day and until feeding time next day, every bit was still there. Tried feeding her as the days past, she never touch it. Sorry RR mybe our human food is good, but, maybe you should stick too people food.

  19. The name is purposefully misspelled in this post only for SEO reasons. Thanks for pointing it out though, more times than not our typos are mistakes 🙂

  20. Ha! My husband isn’t a fan of RR either, to say the least. I received like 4 of these last time (not by my request, I’m not greedy. My dogs won’t touch it! They turned their nose up at it at waited for us to “serve” them their Purina Little Bites. My grandfather’s dog liked it ok though, but he’s used to scraps. 😉

  22. First of all, lol @ ella.

Second, even though I despise RachAel Ray, I must say Nutrish is AMAZING.

My dogs LOVE LOVE LOVE this stuff. Not only that, but it has done great things for their digestion (all problems on that “end” gone!). I hear it is a bit high in Sodium, which makes my pups really thirsty, so I make sure to have more than one water bowl around the house.

I can’t access the site from work, does anyone know if this one also give you the option for a coupon instead of a sample?

  23. Glad it worked for you, Melissa.
Ella, I copied her name from the title above. I guess Adam, and I are plain just uneducated. Don’t you ever spell a word wrong?

  24. i signed up for it again a while ago and it told me that i had already received a sample but some how i got another sample in the mail yesterday. maybe it still works.. who knows but my dogy is in heaven she loves this stuff

  25. Even if you can’t be respectful, at least spell her name right so you don’t look like uneducated – it’s Rachael, not Rachel.

  26. I just received my sample or I should say my dog has and he just loves the Nutrish. Now I have to figure out where to buy this stuff.

  27. I think the point of the sample is for you to “sample” it and if liked then purchase it. Also giving your pet random kinds of food isn’t heathly. You need to stick to one brand of dry and/or wet and if changed graduly mix it into their food. This is the reason why these things end so quickly is b/c the same ppl grab them up all the time… my 2 cents! Oh and PS they arnt that small compared to other freebies.

  28. I was gonna say…’Darnit I cant get it cuz I’ve gotten one in the past’…but I never thought of changin email addys..Thanks

  29. I used the dogs name this time, and a different email address. I also changed the house number by 1, which is non existent, but the postal carrier knows that. How cheap is Rachel Ray? It’s only a small package.

  30. AUUGHHHH!!! If you’ve signed up in the past, it won’t let you get another sample…and I was trying to get the coupon this time instead of the sample because my dog LOVES this stuff. I am not a happy camper right now.

  31. if you signed up in the past, it will tell you that you already signed up, so either use another email addy or something

  32. I requested this one a few months ago, so when I filled out the form this time it said sorry, limit one per household. So I replaced my name with my nickname, used a different email address and my house number rather than my PO box number, and it went right through.

  33. I recived the previous sample and was susprised by the large sample that was provided. The only thing is I have trouble finding it in my area… cant just feed my baby random foods, most dogs can only have one product otherwise it messes up their digestive tract…. other than that an awesome deal and now 3.50 off! awesome!!!

  34. I love when you get the free Rachel Ray dog food. My dog is SO picky, but she loves this stuff. Unfortunately, I haven’t been able to find it any any stores I’ve looked in…even Wal-Mart where I got the original samples doesn’t have the dog food. Weird…but whatever, I prefer free samples anyway.

  35. Rachel Ray’s dog food is fantastic. My dog HATES dry dog food but he will eat hers because it has NO by-products. Do you people realize what you are feeding your cats and dogs with just about every other pet food out there..even the big name ones!? Other than Blue, Maximum, and a few others, everything else has by-products which is dead animals, collars, etc., all ground up together. So quit harping about whether you like Ray or not and do something good and healthy for your pets. Besides, the profits go to help animals who don’t have a human family.

  36. Ah, yes. Does she make you throw-up in your mouth a little too? I am frequently tempted to hit her over the head with a bottle of EVOO…

  37. a bit of the profit from this goes to help abused pets.
I’m getting a sample for my picky old chihuahua.
    Rachel is good cook, just some things she says irritates me;
(Delish, Go-to, EVOO) but I can live with it ; )

  39. @Stefanie – I just don’t like her speaking style and the way she describes things. I don’t think she’s their best talent, but she’s what sells…

@Goob – I really need to watch that show from time to time. I like that guy too. Of course, I’m really digging on the new season of Dinner: Impossible now that Michael Symon is the host/star of it. 🙂
