Free Roadside in Bloom Calendar

The West Virginia Department of Environmental Protection gives away an annual free Roadside in Bloom calendar and they're now taking requests for free 2024 calendars! This freebie has been around since 2011 and every year I'm reminded that West Virginia ain't half bad! I hear NYC attempted making their own version, but it turns out we only have like 7 trees.

At least it isn't my home state of South Carolina giving these away. Otherwise every month would have a picture of orange traffic cones and strips of truck tires.

Their main request page is down, but the signup form is still working, so I don't suspect they have many of these to still give away.

Don't forget that we have a page that shows all the free calendars still available for next year.

Sorry, but this freebie has expired.

However here are five recent freebies still available!

  1. Aww Goob–that is only true for Manhattan—-come visit us in Queens, Brooklyn and Staten Island! We have trees, farm animals and some farm land also. Not everyone lives in the concrete jungle of skyscrapers. 🙂

  2. My son and his family live in SC and they want me to move there and help babysit my grandchildren, so they won’t have to pay out $1,580 a month for daycare… I was just about to sell my house and move there when you said SC has lots of orange traffic cones and truck rubber. Now when I get my son and daughter-in-laws emails begging me to move to SC, I’ll forward them to you.. I love your newsletter and your sense of humor.. keep it up please. LOL

    • @MaryInMinnesota Why don’t you forward his to them, instead? Makes more sense than sending personal emails to a stranger, in my book. Not to be rude.

        • @MaryInMinnesota You really can’t blame me, there are tons of not-so-sharp folks online. You should see some of the ridiculous reasoning failures I’ve seen…people asking for the freebies in the comments, people getting mad at GOOB that they never got the samples, etc…it’s a sad time for our nation.

        • @HollyL @MaryInMinnesota Oh my… I”m LMAO at your comment. Sorry, I’m not trying to be rude, but re-read what you wrote. You can read it so that your saying “I’m the one who’s not so smart,” OR “your the one whose not so smart.” Either way, I had to LOL… and I am a very very patriotic person. My dad has the Silver Star, Bronze Medal, Purple Heart, and numerous other medals from being in a war, so I know patriotism, but I don’t think Goob’s Freebie Newsletter Comments has anything to do with our sad nation. The sad nation is due to the politicians who don’t know what they are doing. I won’t go into who I mean by that, but I did not vote for the guy who doesn’t know accounting 101 LOL Please don’t misunderstand anything I am saying here, PLEASE. Have a beautiful day filled with love and laughter Holly.
