Unlimited 2-Day Shipping with Free ShopRunner Membership

PayPal members (so basically everybody) can get a free 2 year ShopRunner membership. For those new to the neighborhood, ShopRunner gives you free 2-day shipping at over 100+ participating stores, such as Bloomingdales, NFL.com, Staples, and 1-800-Flowers. An annual membership normally costs $79, so this freebie is valued at $158.

If, for some reason the link above doesn't work, then here's a free 1 year ShopRunner subscription link that has worked for years.

If you're unfamiliar, ShopRunner provides 2-day shipping (similar to Amazon Prime) to over 140+ major stores.

Also, you're welcome for me avoiding the painful “I never run to shop!” joke.

Original ShopRunner Review

We're 40 days away from Christmas. Yep, you read that correctly. I'm going to highlight a few services and websites over the coming weeks that might make your life easier during the holidays (and beyond), but remember that there are tens of thousands of Hiffers out there. Every service isn't going to be best for you, so I'm only focusing on ones that I use or ones that I think most people would find helpful.

You've probably heard of Amazon Prime. For $79, you can get free two-day shipping on pretty much every Amazon purchase. It's awesome. The problem is when you go to buy something on another site, you're back to paying $6 for shipping that takes a week if you're lucky. And we haven't even got to potential return fees!

Enter ShopRunner is a yearly $79 membership site in the mold of Prime. But instead of being available for just one store, it's works on over 150 participating stores (with dozens more on the way) that have banded together to offer free two-day shipping. A membership gets you free shipping from NewEgg, Toys and Baby-R-Us, MLB and NFL.com, American Eagle, PetSmart and tons more. Even better, you get free shipping on any returns as well. Because, let's be honest, we all occasionally make a regrettable 2am drunk purchase.

Aside from the free shipping for yourself, you can also designate up to four fellow household family members to share your account. And if you need to return something, you get free return shipping as well.

Is this for you? I don't know. I have no idea what your online shopping habits are. However, if you and your family shop even a handful of times online at participating stores, you'll make your money back through saved shipping costs rather quickly. In fact, ShopRunner is so confident you'll love them, they're giving people a free 30 day trial with no strings attached. If you like the service, you can keep it past the trial. If not, you are free to cancel it.

So if you do as much online shopping as myself, give ShopRunner a shot and see how awesome they are.

  1. About six or seven months ago or so I signed up for ShopRunner and discontinued it. A month they sent me an email asking me to come back and offering a free year of service. YMMV.

  2. I signed up for this and wanted to keep the membership after the 30 days.
I was then charged TWICE for the $79 fee…make sure you check your
bank accounts!! After 2 phones calls (one with a Supervisor) and 2 emails, I still am
being asked to send a copy of my bank statement so the corporate office can “review”
it…obviously would NOT recommend this service

  3. AJB,
I emailed around 4:30, just on the off chance the e-mail address and PIN would work after Facebook said it was no longer available. I got the pin back about an hour later and I notice that Cooley stated that you get your PIN on Monday. So, hold off on shopping til Monday and you can use your shoprunner account!

As an accommodation, we are going to allow people to still send us their name and email address to [email protected] through midnight PST tonight. Please know for those sending your email address between now midnight you will NOT get your PIN code email until Monday. Please do not post your email address. Folks have been doing this today and we don’t want you to get SPAM email.

  6. When I filled out the form and clicked submit, it said this action is “This action is currently unavailable, please try again later,” leading me to assume that they are either still experiencing trouble or are out of 10,000 🙁

  7. I think, w/out the”‘optional” credit card info – you’ll keep getting the message, ‘This action is currently unavailable, please try again later.’

  8. “Providing your payment information will allow you to take advantage of upcoming ShopRunner features that will make it easy to check out at our participating stores without having to type in your credit card information every time. Additionally, we will use your payment information for membership renewal purposes a year from now if you are still a member. You will receive email reminders prior to the expiration of your initial membership and before you are billed the annual renewal fee of $79. Providing your payment information is completely optional

  9. I did get that far where they state the CC number is optional. If you don’t put it in, you get an error. Seems to me, if I got THAT far, it should have given me the membership without the CC. This happened a couple of times and then, I gave up.

  10. Have patience! I got it to load after about 2 dozen tries. Of course now I’m trying to complete it and it says try again….and again…,and again.
PS – the credit card information is optional!! You don’t need to put it in. Hoping it will eventually let me go through, as clicking the little button to activate is a bit mundane…. 😉
