My Dear Freebie Friends,
Hello!! I hope everyone is doing okay! I have a treat for you today. My little sister Abby has once again put together her own version of a freebie review for you. I will get to that in a minute, but wait you probably are thinking, I forgot to tell you what we are reviewing!! We are having our cake and eating it too with a review on these free Betty Crocker Warm Delights Minis. I signed up for these in late May and my sample arrived on June 25th, 2008. Then about a week ago I received a second oneโฆYEA!
I got received the Molten Lava Cake flavor. The directions are easy. Empty your little bag of cake mix into the bowl. Add 1 Tablespoon and 1 Teaspoon water, stir and finally add whatever flavor gel icing/chocolate they include. Microwave for 30 seconds and you have a bowl of warm happiness. People, we have so been missing something. What follows is Abbyโs add on review and you are going to love it!! *all spelling mistakes were kept the way Abby wrote it*
Homemade Warm Delight

So hi people of the freebies! Itโs Abby and boy do I have something to tell you. We have those warm mini delight things and as good as they are, I have something your gonna love even better! After eating my warm mini delights I kept wondering if you could put boxed cake mix in the bowl and make your own. I used to make all my stuff in my easy bake oven but it got recalled so I donโt have it no more. I am not allowed to use the oven cause Iโm little so I thought I would figure this out microwave style.
I kept the directions from the last WMD that we had and tonight when Shannie wasnโt paying attention to anything but Michael Phelps stuff I made chocolate cake! Okay this is what you do. Any boxed cake works. We had a Dunkin Hines one, chocolate. (make sure you put your extra cake mix in a tuperware bowl) I got one of the little black bowls and messured out 3 Tablespoons of cake batter and 1 tablespoon and 1 teaspoon of water out. I put it in the bowl and stirred it. I put it in the microwave for 30 seconds and prayed nothing would burn, burst and fry. Thirty seconds later I prayed for the best and opened the microwave.
OH MY DEAR GOODNESS! It worked. I had chocolate cake. Okay, do you know how many little cakes you can make with a box of cake mix? LOTS! Hif people, the simple message in my review is this, EAT CAKE AND LOTS OF IT! Take my word, this honest truelly worked. Shannie didnโt believe me until she came in and I showed her. She said that I was awesome, (well duh). So have fun and let Shannie know how you like your cake. (You canโt let me know cause Iโm not allowed to talk on hif)
Bye!

There you have it and yes, I saw it with my own eyes. You can make a Warm Mini Delight with regular cake mix. Just follow the directions of what Abby told you or your Mini Delights directions. If however though you want to be lazy and buy your warm Mini Delight, well you can find them at Wal-Mart of your local grocery store for around 1.99 each and you get 2! Watch HIF for the next time these come up as a freebie and in the mean time, enjoy the free Betty Crocker Warm Delights Minis!

I tried them and thought they were gross. I guess you have to try a freebie to find out if they are worth purchasing to you.
I have tried several different reg. and mini sizes of this product and they were all very good. and I buy them often.
OMG thats so funny, I totally used to make those. We called em’ easy bake ghetto cake… Because if you don’t have eggs and butter and stuff to make the cake the “real” way, you can just pop it in the micro-wave. They’re super good too, the only bad thing is if you can’t eat it and stick it in the fridge then they turn into bricks. I like how you called it a WMD to, weapon of mass destruction.
yes, very proud. i got to clean up the testing lol!
Oh how wonderful. I have a few cake mixes in my pantry. I can’t wait to try it. Thanks for all the hard work Abby! Shaynon you must be proud! I never would have thought of that in a million years!
Way to go, Abby! Can’t wait to try it myself.
Just a quick thing bout this. I have a Sunbeam microwave, it takes 30 seconds in mine, but when i tried this at my aunt’s today (she has a Black & Decker one) it took almost a minute….so if it still looks gooey, put it back in for a few more secs. When its done it should pull away from the sides a little!! ๐
