The Sonic birthday freebie used to be one of the few offers that let you choose your own birthday reward from one of three options. However, they've since changed their annual offer and it looks like they're rotating between the freebies.
In 2017, you got free medium tater tots, which was one of the old offer options. In 2018, we get a free small classic shake, which was another of the old options. We got a free corndog in 2019 and then a global pandemic in 2020. Gotta say, I liked the corndog better.
I was initially bummed over this, but then I remembered I'm terrible at making up my mind. So thank you, Sonic, for making my life just that much easier.
I've turned up bupkis freebies today so instead I spent a while putting together a bunch of birthday freebie posts. I'll try staggering them out over the rest of today but for now here's the Smoothie King birthday freebie: a BOGO coupon discounted smoothie!
On the one hand, it's nice that you get a BOGO coupon when you sign up for their newsletter. On the other hand, it stinks that you have to pay for their birthday offer.
Benihana's Japanese Restaurant birthday freebie is pretty darn awesome, if you ask me. What other place gives you thirty bucks every year? That's right, not a single one, and I should know because I've been going through way too many of these lately. But thankfully the Benihana birthday certificate has arrived!
For many years now Benihana has been a classic in the birthday freebies space and has almost cracked our list of the best 25 birthday freebies. They've always offered a free $30 gift certificate with the purchase of a 2nd adult entrée and they even have an extensive portion of their FAQs dedicated to their annual birthday certificate.
Be sure to register with their free chef's table e-club well in advance of your birthday to ensure coupon delivery. You should receive your free birthday gift certificate emailed at the start of your birthday month. They also send out a ton of weekly promotions and special offers throughout the year, through I do not believe they offer any sort of half-birthday offer.
You must print the certificate in order to use the certificate at your local restaurant! You'll also need to bring government ID for the name on the certificate.
Certificates are valid during dinner hours on Monday through Thursdays only. Most certificates are valid for the entire month of your birthday. Offer requires the purchase of one, full-priced adult entrée on your guest check before the certificate is applied to additional items ordered by the recipient. The maximum value of the birthday certificate is $30 and excludes alcohol, tax and gratuity. Offer cannot be combined with any other offer, promotion or discount including Happy Hour. So find a sitter one night and enjoy a meal! Well don't find a sitter if you don't have kids. That'd be a little weird.
Denny's free birthday offer is a free Grand Slam breakfast. The offer is only valid on the day of your birthday, as opposed to the entire week like some restaurants, so no dilly dallying! You have permission to dilly though. There's always time to dilly.
As with almost every other free birthday food offer, you must join Denny's free rewards program ahead of time in order to get this free meal! You simply need to create an account, add your birthday, and then check your email as your birthday gets near. Denny's will email you a coupon for your free breakfast during your birthday month.

Red Robin has transitioned their free burger on your birthday to their cardless loyalty program. But you still get a free burger as part of the Red Robin birthday freebie rewards! All you have to do is register for a free Red Royalty Card at their site and you're good to go. Your birthday burger reward is valid during your entire birthday month, so there's no rush on redeeming your birthday reward.
This offer also comes with free fries and is valid on both dine-in and dine-out occasions. Their FAQ says you'll get a burger with a lit candle if you dine-in! 🙂

If it wasn't snowing, I'd seriously consider eating Macaroni Grill birthday freebie for lunch. They offer a free piece of chocolate cake with no additional purchase! Sure, there might not be a location near me, but I'd travel far for free cake. My parents raised me well.
