EDIT: As multiple Hiffers pointed out, the Home Depot event is next weekend, not tomorrow. I apologize for my shoddy reading skills.
It's been a while since I've posted an in-store kids event. I could try blaming it on the fact that I don't have kids, but I think we all know I simply forgot about them.
All of the following events are for Saturday, Feb. 26.
- Free Lowe's Build & Grow Clinic – They're building a pull-back race car at 10:00am.
- Free Borders Elmo's Birthday Party – It starts at 2:00pm and will “celebrate our furry friend with games, songs, giveaways, and more!” Okay. I didn't even know it was his birthday. Who keeps track of these things?
- Target's Dr. Seuss Storytime – They'll have giveaways, coupons, and readings from one of the best authors of all time from 9:00 to 11:00am.
You can register for the Lowe's event beforehand. As for the others, I suggest calling ahead and confirming your local store is participating.
The Tampa Borders stores did not have the party. They are liquidating (all Tampa Borders are closing), so the only staff there was the “closing team.” Wish they had mentioned that on their calendar. My 3-year-old couldn’t understand why it wasn’t happening. Needless to say it was disappointing, but Tampa has a lot of other fun stuff to do, so we had a great day anyway.
The Lowe’s car was cool, though … and easy to make!
The Home Depot one is always the first Saturday of the month… so March 5. That’s what the link says, too.
Thanks Goob, I never would have known=)
Sounds like fun; We’ll be going to Elmo’s Birthday Party at Boarder’s!
