Free Kids’ Guide to Helping Animals

FREE Kids' Guide to Helping Animals Magazine

PETA Kids is offering a free Guide to Helping Animals magazine that also comes with articles, tips, stickers, and comic books. I wonder what the tips will be. 1) Don’t eat meat. 2) Stop dressing your pets in creepy sweaters.

I’m going to pass on this one. I love animals but I think PETA goes too far. They are RELENTLESS. Thanks anyway.

this is brilliant, lets brainwash kids at an early age before they can think for themselves!

i agree in treating animals humanely but hey i gotta eat!

Yes we all have to eat—try doing it ethically and with a conscience. Most adults continue to be told what to think or else commercials would not work so well.

My kids are to young to understand but will like the pics and stickers! Thankx

Whoa some of that stuff doesn’t seem so kid friendly. I’m not sure at that age they need to have explained in all the details how their chicken nuggets are made

“PETA” There’s a catch; you have to earn your “freebies!”

I don’t have a problem with peta but I signed up for something like that a years back and continued getting free stickers for nearly 3 years. Which is cool but theres only so many things you can do with a “pigs are friends, not food” sticker. I still have probably 1000 of them in a drawer..

We have been vegetarian for over 5 years now (all three kids included) and I do not recommend the vegetarian starter kit unless you are seriously considering it. DO NOT LET YOUR KIDS WATCH THE VIDEO “MEET YOUR MEAT” that convinced my husband to make the swithy “cold turkey” (sorry about the punn!). It is brutal.

Keith- that’s what my husband says about church!

    Kayla- wow, you’re so original.

Please do not expose your children to this nonsense, I believe a lot of people join PETA because of celebrity endorsement or they think PETA just wants animals to be treated fairly, but they use unjust methods and twist the truth. These videos they like to show usually include footage from more than 10 years ago and from situations where they have had inside workers manipulate situations. I have seen pamphlets they give children with gruesome cartoon pictures of a dad fishing or a mom stabbing a pet rabbit for dinner with the caption (Ask me how your ______ “Mommy or Daddy” is a Killer). I’m sure there are lots of other places that will send free stickers that don’t have hidden agendas. PETA doesn’t even think you should have pets! (Yet the president has two cats herself)

I was in a bookstore once and the president of PETA was there doing a speech and a book signing. I went by and actually talked to her, and I’d have to say she was one of the nicest people I’ve ever met, nothing like the stories I’ve heard. And all the PETA people were so polite and even let me go ahead of them in line! So although I’ve heard good and bad things about them I’m gonna stick with the good cause I’ve never been treated that well in any public place before!

I have been a vegetarian for 5yrs. PETA is a bit more extreme than most Vegans or Vegetarians, but they have to be in order to be heard.
They do have information you should ponder, but like anything your going to hand to a child – the parents should look throught it first, as I will do.

So sad to see so much Hate for an organization that simply stands for change.

I just got one for my daughter, and boy am I ever sorry that I did!!!! I’m all for the ethical treatment of animals, however I don’t think giving kids these graphic comics is very appropriate…. I’m also pro life, but would never consider handing a 7 year old a cutesy drawing of those procedures…. Come on PETA really?
