Deal: Free Picaboo Hardcover Photo Book

Edit: Despite saying they’d run this through Dec. 31, it looks like they killed the offer early. The current promo I see is 40% off via code NOV40, which stinks compared to 100% off.

Last month I wrote about the free Picaboo 20-page hardcover photo book and tons of Hiffers (+/- an actual ton) have recently emailed me to say they love their book. The deal was supposed to expire in August, but it turns out that new members can now take advantage of the deal through December 31! Like before, you have to pay $8.99 for shipping, but the freebie is worth $39.99 so it’s nice quality and could make for a great, frugal gift!

Here are the steps if you’re interested:

  • Signup for a Picaboo account.
  • Launch the photo software on your computer. It took me about 20 seconds.
  • Create your 20-page photo book. It can be Large Classic, Classic Leather, or Classic Custom.
  • Use code 1FBLGB-7W at checkout.

You’re not completely out of luck if you participated in last months deal. There are two offers for current users: either 50% off any custom photo book or a BOGO any custom photo book.

  • Use code PNTG50 at checkout to get 50% off. Expires 12/31/10.
  • Use code BGFSEPT at checkout to get BOGO. Expires 9/28/10. Note this is for two copies of the same book you create.

I took advantage of the free Picaboo photo book. It is fantastic!! It was very easy to put together and Picaboo has a ton of backgrounds and themes you can use. My husband and I liked it so much we ordered two more copies of the book with the buy one/get one free campaign for existing customers. This is definitely a great deal!

I LOVE the book I got last time! I love that you have complete control over your page layouts. Totally worth paying for shipping and handling!

Just curious … those of you who took advantage of this offer the first time around, how long did it take you to receive your photo book in the mail once you placed the order?

I ordered 3 photo books last time. It only took a week to 2 to get the books. i wasn’t impressed. the photo’s were grainy and I prefer Snapfish’s quality. I don’t care if it is free, I won’t be ordering anymore from them :(

I think a book filled with photos of some of their ancestors would make a cute Christmas gift for my niece and nephew, and help them learn more about their family.

@#4 – The grainy photos were probably due to the low resolution pictures you sent them. High resolution = better photos.

wow Trish thank you so much for saying that!! My brother is really into genealogy and he would LOVE that for Christmas. Lucky for me he keeps all the info on my computer :)

OMG – Just spent 3 hours making my book look so damn good. Only to see “invalid code” when I put in this coupon code. And it rang at 68+change. Wow……

Just got my book today and I love it! Picture quality is great, themes are cute. Only took 3 days to get here. Thanks!

Just tried this, and I’m super excited. The process was fun and simple. The combos are endless. I did a book of my wedding photos, and free sure beats the couple hundred dollars I would have paid someone else to do it. HIGHLY recommend!

i just had the same problem! I had created the book awhile back and now i go to order it and it says all of the codes in this post are expired?! Hey, Goob, what gives…any ideas?

  13. #13 maria |

i just did a live chat with them and they said that offer ended Oct 11. I had my whole book in and put the code in and it said offer expired. I tried to push them to honor it any way and they wouldn’t

  14. #14 Goob |

I’ve emailed Picaboo and will post an update as soon as they respond. 1FBLGB-7W is supposed to work through Dec. 31 for all new customers. I don’t even know where that live-chat person got Oct. 11 from.

    thanks, Goob!

It didn’t work -none of the codes listed above :( , will try the chat hopefully I can get some good news, just completed my book too!

  17. #17 deannasjuju |

I emailed them, and they were firm on not honoring the book for free, but they did offer another discount code. I will just wait to see if I can come across another free book offer – even if its with another business- their loss-with any of my future business!
