‘Walgreens’ Freebies

Walgreens: Free Planters Trail Mix

Free Trail Mix

While on a leisurely stroll today, I swung by my local Walgreens and confirmed that the steps below will score you two free bags of Planters Trail Mix.

  1. Become a fan of Planters on Facebook and print two $1.50 coupons. You can hit back on your browser to print the second coupon after the first finishes.
  2. Buy two bags of Planters Trail Mix for $1.99 each (they’re on sale).
  3. Use the two coupons you printed and then use the $1 Planters coupon found in the March Walgreens coupon booklet.
  4. Final cost should be free.

It’s important that you always use the manufacturers coupons before using the Walgreens coupons. Otherwise, the computer gets confused and you end up paying some money. You’d think they could find some old NASA computers from the 60s that helped put guys on the moon to handle the basic math. Heck, I’m pretty sure my watch from the 3rd grade could come through in a pinch.

IS: Free Tylenol PM

Free Tylenol PM at Walgreens

If you head to Walgreens this week, you’ll be able to get some free Tylenol PM. I wasn’t able to confirm this deal personally, but only because other freebie lovers had raided my Walgreen’s stock, leaving none for me! Although, that in and of itself kinda confirms this works.

Purchase Tylenol PM – $2.99
Use $2/1 printable coupon
Use $1.50/1 coupon in the Walgreens March 2010 Coupon Book
Final price: Free!

Darn. I was really hoping for some Diphenhydramine HCI tonight.

Free 8×10 Walgreens Photo (02/25)

Walgreens is offering yet another free 8×10 photo print for today only. You can either print out the coupon I just linked to or order online and pick up the photo in store with code FREEPHOTO.

I managed to order a photo from my recent trip, but picking one proved difficult. Not because there were too many awesome photos to choose from, but because I operate a camera like a drunken monkey. If psycopathic aliens invaded Earth and threatened to blow up the planet unless I took three non-blurry photos in a row, well…let’s just say I hope everybody is at peace with themselves.

Also, they have a deal going on where you can get 30 prints for $3 with the coupon code WINTER30. It expires on Feb. 27, so you’ve got a day or two.

Free Walgreens 8×10 Photo Collage

Free Walgreens Photo Collage

You can get a free 8×10 photo collage at Walgreens by using code VDAY before midnight tomorrow, February 12. They ran this offer last month and it was a breeze putting the collage together on-line and then picking it up later that week.

If you order your photo today, it should be ready by tomorrow, which is when this 15% off coupon is valid. If you don’t have anything to buy, feel free to pick me up some gum. I’m all out and have resorted to chewing on pens. I think I’ve ingested enough black ink to become a squid.

Free 8×10 Photo Collage

For today only (Wednesday, Jan. 13), you can get a free 8×10 photo collage from Walgreens if you use the code FANFREE. There is a shipping charge, but you can get around that by opting to pick it up at your local store.

I recently switched computers and hadn’t transferred any of my photos over, so in order to test the freebie, I opened my webcam and took a bunch of goofy shots of myself. I really hope this is an entirely automated process and that my local Walgreens employees don’t see it :D

Deal: Free Kleenex at Walgreens

walgreens-november-healthy-savings-booklet

Finally! I’ve had this darn post in the editing queue for almost 48 hours because I couldn’t confirm it to be legit, but I just got back from Walgreens with a bag full of Kleenex and my pockets only a few cents lighter.

Buy 3 boxes of Kleenex Facial Tissue @ $2.29 each.
Use $1/1 coupon from the November Healthy Savings Booklet (it’ll deduct $3).
Use $1.09 coupon found on the front page of their in-store ad.
Use $0.50/3 coupon from SmartSource.
Final price is free!

In actuality, all of the coupons save you $0.23 more than the Kleenex cost, so you’ll have to buy a cheap item like gum or candy. I picked up some peanut butter M&Ms, which cost $0.89 and yet I only paid $0.84 for everything :) My in-store ad also had a Reese’s coupon for $0.49, but I didn’t see it until I got home.

I used the coupons in the order listed above and it worked fine for me. If you think your local store may give you trouble, might I suggest having a look at our Corporate Coupon Policy post?

The photo above shows what I had trouble with. My local Walgreens only had the booklet on the right, however the Kleenex coupon is only in the booklet on the left. Figures. This evening I swung by a Walgreens a few miles away and wouldn’t you know, they were slam-packed with the Healthy Savings Booklet I needed!

Deal: Brita Water Pitchers $0.49 at Walgreens

cheap-brita-water-pitcher-at-walgreens

Many Walgreens have Brita water pitchers on clearance for $8.49 right now. When purchased, they give out $3 in Register Rewards for a future purchase and there’s also a printable $5 coupon for any Brita system which brings the final price down to $0.49!

In order to get the coupon, look for a link in the “Go Green, Save Green” box. You’ll have to signup on the site for a free account and then you’ll be prompted to print out the coupon. Also, some people have mentioned that their local Walgreens were already sold out of the Brita, so you might want to call ahead.
