IS: Free Starbucks Coffee
I blame the new Starbucks offer on why I cut myself shaving this morning. Sure, I sliced myself a good 3 minutes after the Starbucks commercial came on, but I hypothesize that’s because I’m a bit slow in the morning. Case in point: I was shaving with toothpaste.
Anyway, in case you haven’t seen the commercials, if you stop in at Starbucks between October 2 and 5 and take part in their VIA Taste Challenge, you’ll get a coupon for a free Starbucks Tall brewed coffee on your next visit. Of course, for me, “next visit” means walking outside, spinning in a circle, then venturing back in. I call it the Reverse Grandpa Simpson.
For future reference, McDonald’s considers the next visit to be at least 2 hours after the original visit. I worked there, and we would have people trying to use several coupons by walking out and going through the drive thru or just walking back in. There’s supposed to be 2 hours between visits. Just a friendly heads up in case anyone ever tells you that. Then again, not all McD’s employees know that.
Not sure what Starbucks policy is.

I did the Via challenge (my Starbucks started it early). They made me drink a small cup of the Via instant coffee (aka shoved a sample at me while I was in line) and chatted me up about it for like 5 minutes. If you’re nice enough to the poor employee forced to administer the taste test, they’ll give you two free packets of the Via coffee. It’s OK tasting. Really strong…so use more than 8oz of water lol.
One of the local stores started it yesterday and I got to taste it today. I thought it was good and really close to brewed. I will use the free coffee coupon that was given to me to use there.
