Free Christmas Music via Amazon

In amongst their available free music, Amazon has a few free Christmas songs and albums that you might be interested in downloading.

This is the only time of the year that I can put my full music library on shuffle and not feel weird when a Christmas song pops up. Now it’s time to try and dig up some more freebies while jamming to Little Drummer Boy.

Cyber Monday Deals

It’s Cyber Monday and thus I’ve already spent way too much money. I bought a ton of stuff on Amazon this weekend, so while it’s nice to have a lot of Christmas shopping out of the way, my wallet’s about to sprout arms and strangle me.

For the record, there are a billion and one sites out there that cover Black Friday and Cyber Monday, which is why I tend not to. Freebies? I’ve got those down. Telling which site has the ultimate lowest price on a product? I let others handle that. However, I am a fan of coupon codes that can be used on any product and so here are some that myself or family members have used today. Make sure you use them before midnight though, as that’s when most of them expire!

Amazon is releasing new sales every hour, but it looks like some of their Black Friday sales are still going on. For instance, I picked up Seasons 1-6 of Curb Your Enthusiasm for $79.99 a few days ago. Something tells me it’ll make its way onto my own bookshelf instead of wrapped under the Christmas tree. In addition, the Garmin nĂ¼vi 855 GPS I bought is still on sale for $300 off. Hooray for no longer getting lost!

Kohl’s is offering 20% off a $100+ purchase plus free shipping if you use the code CYBER20. If you don’t want to spend $100, try using the code CYBER15, which will give you 15% off any purchase.

Old Navy, Gap, and Banananana Republic are all offering 20% off plus free shipping via the code MONDAY. On the upside, there’s no minimum purchase. On the downside, I hate Gap’s holiday commercials!

Ebates has doubled (and in some case, tripled) their cash back percentages. A full list of the percentages for today can be found here and … wait, have I not written about this site before? Geez, okay, there’s something for me to do this week!

Finally, Victoria’s Secret has 20% off most items thanks to VSSAVE20.

To be honest, most stores aren’t even hiding their deals. Say you’re a fan of Kodak Gallery or Target.com – simply head to their site and wham, their sale offers are right there. If you have a favorite retailer, check out their site today and chances are you’ll quickly find their Cyber Monday deals.

Free Green Hill Country Sampler

Amidst all of the Lucero and Mayday Parade I’ve been falling asleep to as I ride the bus to and from my job in the midst of 80+ hour weeks (gotta love retail and the holidays!), I’ve been quite busy and haven’t been around here much… But, I can always use something a little different too, so that’s why I like this free Green Hill country sampler.

What? You don’t like country? But you listen to Miley’s “The Climb”? Traitor!

Deal: $5 Magazine Subscriptions

EDIT: Unfortunately this sale has ended.

Amazon has almost a dozen year-long magazine subscriptions for only $5 each, making for some nice (and cheap!) Christmas gifts. The $5 price tag is anywhere from 88 to 92% off the regular subscription price and the deal is only available until December 1. The full list of available magazines are:

  • Cosmopolitan
  • Food & Wine
  • House Beautiful
  • PEOPLE StyleWatch
  • Popular Science
  • Real Simple
  • Smart Money
  • Sports Illustrated Kids
  • Southern Living
  • Travel + Leisure

If I may make a suggestion for the man in your life, go for the Popular Science. It’s full of articles that will make him feel inadequate about his knowledge of tools and cars – not that I’m projecting my own feelings at all! Or better yet, go for the SI Kids. If there’s one thing that helps sooth the sting of never making it as a professional baseball player, it’s know that no matter how old I am, I can still strike out an eight year old.

Free Whataburger Coupons

12-days-of-whataburger

From December 2nd through the 24th, Whataburger is giving away free coupons every other day. In order to get them, simply sign up in advance and you’ll get a random coupon e-mailed to you each day they’re released. Speaking of food, I think it’s time to head back to the fridge. Twelfth round of Thanksgiving leftovers, here I come!

Happy Day After Thanksgiving!

A few days ago I scheduled this video to publish on November 26 and then slammed my laptop closed for 36 hours. Unfortunately, I just now noticed that I marked the year as 2010. Whoops. Looks like it’s time for me to head back to the first grade!

edit: I uploaded the video to YouTube just now as it just occurred to me that every time I hosted a video on HIF, people had problems loading it.

Free Chandra Facial Moisturizer

EDIT: This is no longer available.

Two free Chandra facial moisturizers come as part of a larger Veria relaxation pack that includes a self-pampering guide and a bath salt recipe. Wait, what? Here’s a quick bath salt recipe for ya: fill up the bathtub with water and pour a bunch of salt in it. As for a self-pampering guide, do anything that makes you relaxed. There, I just saved the environment a little as Veria no longer needs to print either of those.

You’re welcome, Mother Nature! Now how about you help me a little and get the mice out of my garage. My dogs go crazy every time they hear them running around out there.

Free Freakonomics Signed Sticker

free-freakonomics-sticker

I love how the authors of Freakonomics call their free signed sticker a “free bookplate.” Am I the only person who’s never heard of that word before? If I had to guess what it meant, sticker would be #745. I think we all know what number one would be.

Now if you’ll excuse me, I’m off to eat some lunch. Where’s my copy of 1984?

Free Seventh Generation Dryer Sheets

EDIT: These are all “dried” up. Heh heh heh, get it? Hello?

The Seventh Generation freebie I posted yesterday has already died, but there’s a new free Seventh Generation dryer sheets offer up. At this rate I’ll be able to wash my entire wardrobe and house with SG freebies within a few weeks.

I love their anti-spam question, too. Yesterday it was 1+0 and today I got 7+0. Are spam bots really that stupid? The ones on our forums seem like they could program a nuclear missile. Every time I engage in battle with them, I feel like I’m one step closer to becoming Robocop.

Free Betty Crocker 2010 Calendar

This free Betty Crocker 2010 calendar won’t last long and I’m running out the door to buy some items for dinner, so I’ll keep this short. I just wish I wasn’t going to the store with brownies and cakes on my mind. Something tells me my upcoming meal is going to contain both.
