Goob, we're in MS and we know all about inspections (one thing that's still cheap, thank goodness - just have to remember to get them - ha!) but your story about just explaining to the police man about how well your car was running and then it died, sounds likes something that'd be happening to us - lol!!! You must live out east. We left NJ because of inspections. Iowa is much more like Anna's Alabama. But your day brought back memories of living on the edge with a $500 in NJ!! :) Hope the weekend is better than the rest of the week has been for you!

Where do you live that you have to have a vehicle inspection? I currently live in 'good ole' Alabama, so if your vehicle has 4 wheels a windshield, and a current registration sticker, they don't care what you drive. lol. Let me just say that cars with ropes and duck tape attached in some form or fashion is a common occurance around here. I hope I move soon!
