I’ve turned up bupkis freebies today so instead I spent a while putting together a bunch of birthday freebie posts. I’ll try staggering them out over the rest of today but for now here’s the Smoothie King birthday freebie: a BOGO coupon!

On the one hand, it’s nice that you get a BOGO coupon when you sign up for their newsletter. On the other hand, it stinks that their birthday offer is a repeat of the same BOGO coupon.

    Smoothie King is like the biggest collection of douchebags working in one place that I’ve ever seen, and I swear, every time I go in there my IQ goes down like 3 points.

    However, their smoothies are delicious. I can even eat the Acai Adventure without sugar, and my wife gets the strawberry extreme, which tastes awesome.

    But.. I haven’t been back there in a while after they ripped me off when I got one of their big tickets ( which I paid $20. for ) with all of the coupons on them and walked in there with a coupon for a free smoothie of any size and asked for a large, they took the coupon and, after some whispering to each other, made me a medium, then said they were out of large cups. I guess they thought all of their customers are too stupid and juiced up to notice, so I asked if they could just give me a small also, and they said nope, sorry, can’t do that, and just laughed.

    That kind of douchebaggery on _several_ occasions has made it hard for me to go back there. That and the fact that there aren’t any managers, so you can’t ever get any customer service.

    Good smoothies, though.
