In an effort to recruit more blood and plasma donors, The American Red Cross has two promos running. This is after already running multiple themed promos (Loony Toons, Hello Kitty, and Snoopy) earlier in the year.
First, if you make a blood donation between October 19 – November 22, 2026 then you'll get a $10 Amazon gift card. The card will be sent to your email address on files 30 days after your donation.
Next, if you make a plasma donation, there are a host of different offers depending on your donation date.
The first is a general $40 just for being a first-time plasma donor.
- Sept. 1-Nov. 30: Make your first-ever platelet donation with the Red Cross and get a free $40 e-gift card to your merchant of choice from their extensive list.
- Oct. 17-Nov. 3: American Red Cross Platelet Donor Halloween T-shirt, while supplies last.
- Oct. 19-Nov. 22: $10 Amazon Gift Card by email. Also earn 500 bonus points toward Platelet Donor Rewards, which are redeemable for a $10 e-gift card through Platelet Donor Rewards.
- Nov. 1-30: Your first successful platelet donation gets free A1C testing, commonly used to screen for prediabetes and diabetes (one result per calendar year; do not fast before you donate).
- Nov. 23-Dec. 6: Exclusive Red Cross x Wheel of Fortune mug, while supplies last.
BONUS: You'll also automatically be entered for a chance to win a trip for two to Los Angeles for three nights with entry to a taping of Wheel of Fortune.
- Nov. 25-Dec. 6: BONUS $10 e-gift card to your merchant of choice.
Next is the date-specific bonus, which applies to both new and returning donors.
