Did you know that participating Starbucks stores will give you free coffee grounds to use in your garden? Because I sure didn't until I created this post!
I first wrote about this offer a few years ago. Back then, this program was listed on their site as having launched back in 1995, but Starbucks seems to have removed this story from their site. They do stuff like this all the time when they update their site, it's so annoying.
But a lot of Reddit threads (like this or this or even this amount!) show this promotion is still going on at thousands of various locations.
Long story short, you should ask your local Starbucks if they participate. If they do, then show up early in the day before they're given away on a first come, first serve basis and you'll walk away with some nutrient-rich coffee grounds for your garden or compost!
