31 Free Songs a Day for September
So speaking of being late on the bandwagon, apparently Guvera.com has been giving away 31 free songs a day on their site of your choice! These are radio hits and some other stuff too, so you’ve got free reign with your account on their site to get whatever 31 songs you want a day. The catch? You can only download one song at a time…
So with just about 7 days left as you read this? You’ve got an opportunity to download 217 songs! That’s a heck of a lot of albums! Why are you still reading this?!?
its not allowing me to download songs. It just says that my profile is incomplete and this portion is locked etc
It claims that you can earn more downloads by completing your profile, but I still only got two downloads.

It’s just another online scam to steal your personal information.. and the download makes it easier for them to do it since it downloads to your personal computer.
I only got one of the 2 free downloads. But after filling out my profile, it’s letting me download songs. I’m saving them on my PC then putting them in iTunes.
I’m sure they’re collecting information…let’s see what kind of junk mail it generates.

you download for free from “advertiser channels” thats the only interaction with advertisers you have.

i was only able to download two songs. Even after I filled out the profile. i went to download other songs but every song that i picked said it did not exist. Whatever.
can’t even go back to the site after logging out. nothing shows up at all even when i click on the link above.

Well, I think the site is down at this exact moment because I’m not able to access anything right now either but I’ll say what I’ve thought of the site.
First, I wish I knew more music that I liked and that I knew this promo existed a few days sooner (found out two days ago but I thought they just boosted my download count to 31 once, not everyday. Had I known that I would’ve been downloading like crazy…)
Anywho, I signed up like 4 months before this promo. The service has changed a bit since I signed up but the credit system was alright if a little short. I had like 12 downloads after completing my profile and not enough advertisers passed by that offered a lot of downloads in the months afterwards. Still, it was nice to legally download some of Utada’s songs so I wasn’t going to complain.
I don’t think they really do anything with your information but I used an email that collects spam anyway so it doesn’t make much of a difference to me whether they did or didn’t (and they never mailed my house so…).
I didn’t believe in the service at first because we’ve all seen those “free and legal” things before but this one actually is referenced on EMI Music’s website months before they launched in the US

so I believe they are legit.
The ads aren’t really distracting because if you’re smart, you just want the music anyway so there is no problem there.
My only problems with the site are the search sometimes, “disappearing music” (I grabbed the Halo Theme from Video Games Live but its not there anymore), and EMI artists that aren’t there (like Asian Dub Foundation). But hey, not much is perfect and this service is really trying. Especially with this 31 a day thing, it doesn’t even require you to visit most of the other advertiser EXCEPT guvera’s main channel.

Hey no problem. I just wanted to update it is working for me now (well I haven’t logged in BUT the default page works again so I’m pretty sure it is >.>)
And I think I’ve seen a few things about people wondering how to get songs from the site. Well they have some sort of video for that but in short its like this.
1) Find some song you like in the search box.
2) Click download in the search results.
3) Then a channel list pops up. If you can get free songs, you’ll get them under this “FREE DOWNLOADS AND STREAMS FROM THESE CHANNELS “. And just pick a channel. (“Press select”) on some channel that has at least 1 download remaining.
4) On whatever that channel page is, there will be a simple “YOUR FILE” thing with a picture of the album of the song that you wanted to download. Click that and you’re set. Wash. Rinse. Repeat.
A FEW songs I think don’t always show up for the September promo. I think there is a workaround for that but I might not need to write that. Just stick with what you can get, there’s plenty for now XD
I find it funny that I saw both Facebook and this service die for awhile on the same day haha.
Don’t forget about the swagbucks site issues. ^^ It was raining All day here so everything being screwy made it a very dreary day. Definitely going to give this music site a go though.

Each channel has its own pre-determined number of downloads, and the channel is connected to what ad you see. For example, Geico gives you 2 downloads, Victoria Secret gives you 2 downloads, Mastercard gives you 1, etc. Plus there’s a September Promo channel which gives you some huge amount. (I think mine started at 21, so I’m guessing it’s taking 10 from the other places to make that 31 total?) Several songs that I’ve searched for aren’t available through the Sept Promo channel, so I would recommend using that one when you see it and saving the other channels for the other songs.
In any case, all of you who think you are only getting 2 downloads…. just keep clicking and you’ll get your 31.

I had no problem with the site. After updating my profile I was able to download several songs, until I got tired of searching for songs. Every song that I downloaded are recent and some haven’t been released yet! And they are all of my favorite bands!

I found a problem with the free downloads. After downloading all I wanted, I went to load them on my Ipod and Itunes would not load them for some reason. It keeps saying that they are not found.
Oh well, I guess that I am just going to have burn them on to CD to listen to them in the car.
says i have 2 downloads (not 31) but can’t even use those until i complete profile apparently (just says “locked”). tried to but no matter what i put for birth year, it says it’s invalid format. so don’t know if it’s just a big scam or just a bad web site.
I’ve gotten a few great songs already, and I’m not having trouble with anything other than finding songs that qualify for the September channel that I want/don’t already have. Does anyone know of an easier way to see which songs qualify for that channel (other than the trial and error method I’ve been using)?

I searched by artist and got about 10 downloads. Then went to Channels and found one that said 21 (GUYVERA EMI PROMO). It is preset and if you like the music great. So I got 10 I wanted and will see about tomorrow.
It let me download all I want, but you cant burn them to a cd or put them on a MP3 player bc they are DRM protected. They are on my PC, but I really wouldnt have downloaded them if I had known this.

@Eva, I believe they dropped the count a bit from yesterday to today. I guess more and more people are getting in on it XD I thought it was because I did something to get songs from channels that you aren’t really supposed to (I did like 3 >.> it still uses up a download count so its fair-ish…). But yeah I won’t do that a lot so the service still is genuine.
@Butterflykiss, you’ve unfortunately got to go by trial and error. I’ll give you a hint though, just about most of the ones that qualify are EMI related ones. So if you look a track like this:

(see the “EMI” in the url?) You can probably download it for free from the promo site. Try to use only the promo site because once this month ends, I bet it’ll be hard to get songs again so you’re going to need your credits from the OTHER advertisers.
@Rpmsing, they have preset lists yes but when you search for a song you can change whatever one appears first on “their” playlist. That’s how you get what you want. You don’t have to download all the stuff on their channel. It does mean you have to do this one at a time (basically search for example, JET’s 17 then download that track, and then go again and search for Katy Perry’s One of the Boys, and download that).
@Bobby, I don’t use mp3 players or ipods but I put it on my USB drive and took them to a different computer at school and listened to them so they can’t be DRM, least not for me.

So far since I signed up 3 days ago I have only been able to download for 1 day 31. My credits are not coming back each new day and my profile is 100%. Am I missing a step?
Only songs that can be downloaded through this channel will get you the 21 (because its no longer 31, its 21 now).

It seems the promo is over. I used it for 2 days. There were 21 free downloads per day plus 10 extra downloads that were only good the first day. Oh, well. Got some good songs. Trudy

I got my 31 free songs before the end of September. Now, I’ve gone back and gotten 5 more. They’ve also done some upgrades to the site, including a browse by genre option. Lovin’ Guvera!
