We've written about Swagbucks quick a few times already (tons of forums posts plus this extensive Swagbucks review I made back in January). After two months of using them as my primary search engine, I'd say I'm even more in love with them than I initially was. I've already earned enough points for two $5 Amazon giftcards and I'm fairly close to a third. How can you not love free money just for searching?!
If you're still sitting on the fence about joining Swagbucks, maybe this will help nudge you in the right direction. Starting today, any new member who signs up can use the code HEYITSFREE to earn two free swag bucks, which will be added to the three swag bucks already offered to new members, thus giving you five swag bucks starting out! For reference, a $5 Amazon giftcard costs 45 swag bucks, so you'll already be 11% of the way to getting your first prize. But that's just one example, they have hundreds of prizes to choose from and dozens of different gift card options.
I usually average around 2-3 swag bucks a day though my normal search habits, which takes me about 15-20 days to earn a prize. Just think how many giftcards you'd have by now had you signed up when I first wrote about Swagbucks in January!
The code expires at midnight PST on Wednesday, so you've got almost two days to sign up and use the code. For people who are already members of Swagbucks, feel free to leave a comment with your opinions on the site. I'm interested in hearing what others think!

I joined in January also. I am up to 180 with only a few people under me . THey dont seem to use it much. They complaint hat the ‘search results’ are minimal and not as good as Google.
THey dont give you more than 4 pages of results for any search though.
I signed up with Swagbucks from your post back in January. I absolutely love it. Have already cashed out for 2 $5 Amazon GC’s & have accumulated 75 more SBs. I invited all my friends as well, too bad they dont see a good thing when its staring em in the eye. I not only use it for common searches, but I also utilize it instead of my bookmarks. I joined swag bucks awhile back a friend of mine referred me to it and I love it. I average at almost 3 or 5 a day depending on how much I spend on the site. I have so far gotten 5 since October 17th of last year (2008)…And however I love it!!

The best way to get the most for your experience? Get folks to sign up under you as your affiliates. I’ve earned only 82 from searching and 17 from swagcodes, but because of folks who’ve signed up under me? I have a whopping total 402 swagbucks! That means I’m just 3 swagbucks away from having $45 in Amazon.com giftcards, all in the span of about 2 months! Can’t beat that at all… 🙂
Did I misunderstand that they give you swagbucks for changing your homepage to swagsbucks?
So I just signed up for swagbucks. Should I download the toolbar? Do you have to sign in everytime you get on the computer? I don’t really understand this whole concept.
I use swagbucks everyday while i am at work. I thought instead of entering in HEYITSFREE in the promotion code area b/c I am not a new member I would search for it and it gave me a swagbuck.
I LOVE Swagbucks! I joined the last time Goob wrote about it, and I’m hooked. I’ve gotten my sister to join (which gets you more Swagbucks), but I’ve been doing fine by just searching on my own. I love it! I’m saving up my Swagbucks for something big, but I have enough to get a few gift cards already.

I started when you posted the first time. I get on average four or five swagbucks a day. One time I hit for five swagbucks. Sweet.
I just joined swagbucks a few days ago, I have a total of 10 swagbucks, not enough for the $20 target gift card I’m holding out for. I wish the swagcode worked w/ already existing members, but oh well. I am glad to have found out about swagbucks, though I wish I knew about it a long time ago!
I just signed up for swagbucks but when I tried to use the code it said it was not a valid code.
I signed up in jan or feb and I now have 44 swagbucks.
I love swagbucks (I’m at I think 47 so far, in about 3 weeks?), but I don’t care for the image search at all. For that, I still use Google. Still, any search engine that gives me free stuff just for using it is A-OK in my book. 🙂 Thanks for telling us all about it!

For some reason swagbucks doesn’t work for me anymore.
The search results are only videos, no text, and it says something like ‘due to your territory we can only display video results’. I’m in FL, so no idea what they mean….

lol. i’m digging the swag bucks but don’t seem to be getting them as fast as some others though, but then again – I already know everything since I’m a woman & don’t need to search for things very often.
