Free Baby Samples For Expecting Parents

Updated: Jul 1, 2008 · Posted on Jun 23, 2008 at 2:04 pm

EDIT: Be sure to check out the comments and leave your opinion on this freebie. Have you signed up for it in the past? What'd you get if anything?

I'm not too sure what all goes into planning for a new child to come into this world, nor am I sure that I could handle it. I have trouble remembering how to put on my own pants. Remember Goob, it's feet first and zipper in the back! Or is it zipper in the front? Ugh, not again… Thus, if I ever found myself expecting a baby, I'd sign up for some free baby stuff, (WHICH WOULD BE AWESOME if it wasn't spam – check out the comments) which is for expecting mothers and fathers who have had a child within the past 11 months or are expecting one in the next 9 months.

I didn't sign up for this (since I'm not expecting and don't want to “waste” a freebie on me), so I'm not too sure what all you'll get in this, but they promise a whole lot. But even if it's simply a booklet of coupons or some diaper samples, it helps, right? If anybody qualifies and signs up for this, let us know what you get via the comments!

I was just on a call with babytobee when I came across this site while talking to them. The poor lady (who seemed fairly nice) was still busy talking when I hung up on her. I didn’t really understand what she wanted from me. I was waiting for her to ask for a credit card number, so I could just say “aha, I knew there was a catch!” But she was going on and on about mortgages or something! She was also trying to push formula on me, but I told her I plan on breastfeeding (hopefully). She seemed sort of pissed that I didn’t want formula and said “well can you at least give it to someone else who could use it, or supplement with it?” Excuse me lady, but I don’t need to justify my parenting choices here!! Geez. I’m expecting them to call me now numerous times a day after reading all your posts! I had a hunch when I signed up for it. I should stick to that gut feeling in the future!!

To everyone whose comments are ringing strong. You need to go to the BBB of your state, the FTC (Federal Trade Commission), and possibly the SEC, if this is a company has stock. This company wanted my spouse’s credit card number and finally I had to tell her no and hang up, however they do have her email address and send her nothing but junk. I guess the moral of the story is, “If it sounds to good to be true, it often is,”. Sounds like this company cares little for its employee’s just the money. If they continue to try to draft money out of your checking or savings account without your permission you can also go to the Federal Reserve Board, because it is a violation of banking regulation and protocol, also you might have to ask an attorney that specifically deals with bank regulation to help you out. It burns me up knowing that other to be parents or parents and associations are being scammed, a baby is God’s precious gift and a miracle no a money maker.

Dear #9 Maureen, Since you worked for this nightmare of a scam, can you help with information as to how to cancel a membership to nothing? I signed my daughter-in-law up for this thinking it would be great for her. How wrong I was. They are now trying to auto-draft money from her checking account for something she didn’t ask for or receive. PLEASE, if you can help in any way, contact me ASAP. Otherwise, I’ll be paying her for the money the take out of her account. I feel responsible.

They keep calling me even after I asked to take me off their list! I just wanted a free magazine subscription but I had no idea what a scam they were after reading other people’s posts.

I hate babytobee. I know for a fact. That they encourage there agents not to put people on dnc. Because it gives fewer leads to work with. All the people that I have spoken to about the joke of a company. They don’t give parnets a darn thing.

Babytobee is the worst! I was a sucker and gave in to the telemarketer who promised me free samples and offers. To this day i have not recieved anything from them except spam emails and a headache! They also share your info with other companies. I refused to give my credit card number to them and they finally stopped calling!

Hi, I am a current employee of BabytoBee. I think we do have a few great things for expecting parents, but it is definitely a marketing company and many of our offers would be considered junk to some people.
I wanted to respond to a few of the comments. If we get an answering machine or a dropped call we will call back. If you are not interested tell the agent ‘not interested’ or ‘please put me on your do not call list’. You will probably get a rebuttal, but if you stick to your guns and the agent dispositions the info correctly you shouldn’t receive more calls unless you had been signed up multiple times. The agents are mostly work at home mothers who want to believe that this is a great company. Anyone have any other recommendations for a better work at home job?

i signed up for this via another website. they called me at 9 pm when my baby was asleep and my husband was asleep (he gets up at 5 am for work). they woke up my baby, who screamed, woke up my husband who was not happy. when i told them not to call me again, i got four calls in the next two days. the last call my husband told them he’d file a lawsuit if they called again because we’d told them not to take our number off their list. the girl called my husband names and yelled at him! i was appalled by that. i understand telemarketers can legally call until 9 pm, but that is just ridiculous.

Babytobee calls me 5 times a day. I have had ask them to put me on the do not call list. ANd this company is a joke. They change there number a lot. And to be being a former agent. It is hard to speak to the parnets who child was stillborn or who lost there child.

I used to work for them as well. They are basically a lead generation company. As far as I know, they only get your contact info from someone filling out a request for free stuff for their baby either directly on their site or one of their affiliates. They are a big Marketing scheme designed to target parents and expectant parents. They make big pretty promises and offers to give you free things. Problem is, most of the stuff is useless. But like the post above me said, when an agent calls and they offer you various stuff sometimes soooo far removed from what a parent or child needs its laughable and ridiculous. I would be so embarrassed sometimes when on a call and I would have to read some insane offer for an auto loan or migraine medicine sample to a mother to be! The funny thing is, they tell the unsuspecting agents when they first apply that these people are excited and looking forward to receiving free stuff. They have a helluva Ra Ra team working there as as well, so if you call into question their way of doing business, the agents would definately get blasted. So most just work for the paycheck. There is an extremely high turnover rate there (agents burn out quickly from the mundane work AND from the downright shady business practices (I mean come on.. these parents think they are getting free stuff.. not offers for some useless stuff and spam) But they get big bucks for selling these ‘leads’ (when you say yes to an offer that is $$ for them.. and points for the agent toward their production standards if you will).

To any potential agents interested in working for them, please do your research and hear the good and bad before that way your not too disappointed.

I would advise anyone not to sign up for anything on the net anymore with promises of anything free! Nowadays its all about the almighty dollar… now even so much as a name , fitting a certain profile and an addy is big $$…

I agree babytobee.com sucks. As a former employee. I will try to shed light on this bad company. When you say yes or no to a offer. They send it into the company and The company who has the offer is suppose to get in touch with you. The auto loan is done with another company. None of the offers really have nothing to do a baby.

I don’t know if you actually get anything, but after giving them my phone number (required for the samples) they started calling me multiple times a day, every day, and trying to avoid them was impossible, they even called at 8:30 a.m. yesterday (Sunday) so I finally answered and they said I needed to register for the samples so I told them to take me off the list and that it wasn’t worth being harassed for a few samples that were not even specified.

In my experience, this babytobee site SUCKS! I signed up with them a year ago when I first had my daughter and received nothing, and the sign-up process was a serious pain. I’d be interested in knowing if anyone else got anything good out of it.
