I'm almost certain this Mission BBQ birthday freebie is an annual free sandwich. I've never visited one of these establishments, but they have over 100 locations in about half the states and I'm told they regularly have special deals for military, veterans, and first responders. They even sing the national anthem every day at noon if that's your sort of jam.
