After you sign up for free, you'll get an email in January announcing the new yearly birthday gift that is available during your entire birthday month. Sometimes it contains mascara, maybe there's a highlighter, or perhaps you'll get a top-rated luminizer for … luminizing.

How do I redeem my Sephora Birthday Gift?
It's quite easy! If doing so online, you can start on your Beauty Insider benefits page and add your desired set to your cart, along with making a $25 or more purchase.
To redeem at any Sephora stores or in Sephora at Kohl's, all you have to do it provide a Beauty Advisor with your registered Beauty Insider email address. Going into your local store to redeem this gift means you don't have to make a purchase, so this is the best option for a truly free birthday experience. While you're there, you can even ask for free samples or a mini-makeover, which includes a 15-minute makeup session that focuses on one makeup technique like eyeliner, foundation, smokey eyes, etc. This is like two birthday freebies in one!

I ordered mine along with some birthday presents my husband let me buy… I LOVE THIS SAMPLE. The mascara is GREAT, and the luminizer is great on the cheek bones and under eyebrows. Just go online and register to be an “insider”. Also, if you order $25 worth in products, you can pick three free samples, such as tiny bottles of perfume, shampoo/conditioner, etc. AND THEN, if you look on the weekly specials there’s always promos for deluxe samples!!! And then any order over $50 free shipping. They are having their end of Summer clearance as well! I stinkin’ LOVE Sephora. hahaha
ALSO, I might add, if you’re a Sephora insider, for every dollar you spend, you get a point that goes towards a full size product, or some deluxe samples. The free products start at 100 points. But if you’re like me and only spend money at price-r store like this twice a year (birthday and Xmas) It totals out to about 100 points a year, which still Kicks butt!!!!

I have gotten this every year for the past 5 years AT LEAST and I have never had to do anything more than walk in the store and show them my sephora “insiders card”. It’s a free sign up for the card.

you don’t have to if you order online either, you just pick your prize. you may have to pay for shipping, but a lot of times there’s a free shipping code lying around the internet.
