Do you meet the following requirements?
- You are a U.S. consumer who signed up for Prime between June 23, 2019 and June 23, 2025, and
- You enrolled through a Challenged Enrollment Flow, and
- You used no more than three Prime benefits in a 12-month period from June 23, 2019 and June 23, 2025.
Then you may be eligible for an Amazon Prime legal settlement from the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Washington. This stems from a lawsuit Federal Trade Commission v. Amazon.com, Inc., et al. where the FTC alleged:
- Obtained consumers’ billing information before clearly and conspicuously disclosing material terms for Amazon Prime.
- Failed to obtain consumers' express informed consent for Amazon Prime.
- Failed to provide simple mechanisms for consumers to cancel Amazon Prime.
Amazon defended the case and did not admit liability in the settlement. Amazon has agreed to provide compensation for Prime membership fees paid during the applicable time frame, up to $51.
The deadline to file a claim is July 26, 2026.
I need to point out I'm not a lawyer 💼. That said, DO NOT LIE ON THESE! You are using your signature under penalty of perjury. That means you don't want to lie! However, if you actually bought some of these items, feel free swearing to it and file a claim to get your rebate check!
