If you purchased certain beef products in the states listed below between August 1, 2014 and December 31, 2019, then you may qualify for the Beef Class Action Settlement. This antitrust class action lawsuit claims that several beef processors – including JBS, Cargill, National Beef, and Tyson Foods – conspired to limit the supply of beef and artificially increase the prices in the market.
Two of the defendants, Tyson and Cargill, have agreed to Settlements totaling $87.5 million to resolve the claims against them. They have also agreed to certain non-monetary relief.
Here are the eligible states:
Arizona, California, District of Columbia, Florida, Illinois, Iowa, Kansas, Massachusetts, Maine, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, Nevada, New Hampshire, New Mexico, New York, North Carolina, North Dakota, Oregon, Rhode Island, South Dakota, Tennessee, Utah, West Virginia, and Wisconsin.
You do not need proof or purchase.
The deadline to file a claim is June 30, 2026.
I need to point out I'm not a lawyer 💼. That said, DO NOT LIE ON THESE! You are using your signature under penalty of perjury. That means you don't want to lie! However, if you actually bought some of these items, feel free swearing to it and file a claim to get your rebate check!
Whenever I post one of these class action settlements, I always feel like Cellino & Barnes … I mean, Galino & Farnes.
