As usual, I've put together a list of free Kindle eBooks. Many of these are available to everybody! For the longest time, I thought they were only for Amazon Prime members, however I discovered anybody can read these free eBooks with any number of free Kindle apps. Be it on your phone, computer, or tablet, you can download a Kindle app and get these books for free!
They're split into different categories and were all free as of this morning, though please make sure they're still free when you go to redeem them since sometimes these promos only last for a few hours / days.
Hopefully, you can find something fun to read. 📚 😃 And as usual, please check the price before you download. These free books are often time-based and will go up in price after a certain amount of time, so before you download, make sure the price is $0.00!
I've found two different Black Panther comic freebies! First up are over 200 old school Black Panther comicsavailable for free on Comixology as digital copies. This batch of comics includes their entire library of single-issue Black Panther comics.
For something a little newer, Amazon is giving away all 22 issues of the ongoing Black Panther current run by Ta-Nehisi Coates.
From Book 1: A bold new direction for the Black Panther! For years, T'Challa has fought off invaders from his homeland, protecting Wakanda from everything from meddling governments to long-lost gods. Now, he will discover that Wakanda is much bigger than he ever dreamed… Across the vast Multiverse lies an empire founded in T'Challa's name. Readers caught a glimpse of it in MARVEL LEGACY #1. Now find out the truth behind the Intergalactic Empire of Wakanda! Ta-Nehisi Coates welcomes aboard fan-favorite artist Daniel Acuña for a Black Panther story unlike any other!
These freebies are presumably a tribute to Black Panther actor Chadwick Boseman, who recently passed away in August. I'm not sure how much longer either freebies will be available.
In this inaugural edition, we're saving the best for first. Put your baking skills to the test with classic Mexican desserts. These age-old recipes for baked bananas, rice pudding, chestnut flan, and churros will hit the sweet spot.
This first issue contains an 1831 recipe for rice pudding and a churro recipe written shortly after the Mexican Revolution. It's pretty rare when my job intersects with my love of all things history!
Next is their second issue – drinks!
Raise a glass to a collection of delicious Mexican beverages! These recipes will come in handy whether you’re celebrating a special occasion or looking for a warm drink for the cool days to come. ¡Salud!
The third and final edition on Main Courses should release soon.

I used to bring books on holidays and vacations. Without fail, I'd get home weeks later wondering why I lugged 20 pounds of dead trees up and down the east coast. But now I download a few free books, toss a pair of headphone in my bag, and have all my bases covered for a fraction of the weight.
If you find you love the service, you can stay a member after your trial is over and get an additional free book every month.
New to Audible?
Audible is an excellent way to fit reading into a busy schedule! Audiobooks are perfect for commutes and traveling. I also listen to them while cookingall the time. I can't recommend them enough.
These audiobook sales would have been great during my younger years. 24-hour roundtrip car rides with my friends and family would have been greatly enhanced would a few free audiobook downloads, in my humble opinion.
Instead, my brothers and I always got into 90 minute arguments over which starter Pokemon was the best. It's a small miracle we all made it back home in one piece year after year.

Not many people know this about me, but I've never spoken a single word aloud in public. It absolutely terrifies me. The simple act of ordering dinner at a restaurant involves at least an hour of charades and even then my order is rarely correct.
In completely unrelated news, my friends stopped asking me to dinner years ago.
This is a new book featuring famous comedians reading actual Amazon.com reviews. My invitation must have got lost in the mail. However, they managed to get Jane Lynch, Lewis Black, John O'Hurley, Joel McHale (wooo, Community!), Margaret Cho, Eugene Mirman, Kurt Braunohler, Lauren Cook, Jonathan Katz, Laura Silverman, Melissa Villasenor, Ron Funches, Gilbert Gottfried, Dan Savage, Vern Musical Improv.
No promo code should be required, so if it's asking you for one, please let me know in the comments!
Maybe its just because I work as a production editor with textbooks, but whenever I see the words “publishing” or “book,” I feel all warm and fuzzy inside, and I reach for a bottle of whiteout and the Pilot Precise V7 Fine Rolling Ball red pen that's perpetually behind my right ear, ready at a moments notice to editify. No, not the bottle of whiteout, the pen.
So when I saw thisfree cookbook publishing kit, complete with the software, publishing guide, and sample cookbooks? I just about nearly squee-ed with joy. Till I realized that “squee-ed” and “editify” aren't real words and I tried to whiteout them on my computer monitor…
