Free Sushi Advocacy Kit

I love sushi. I really truly do. There’s so much complexity to it that the fact that I’m going to get some reusable (read: plastic) chopsticks and some brochures about using ocean caught seafood over farmed seafood in this free sushi advocacy kit? Sounds good.

What amuses me, though, is the brochures are to have a conversation with my local sushi chef. Last time I tried to speak to him, he just brandished his knife my way and that was the end of that!

Thanks Adam. I can’t see myself talking to the local sushi chef or leaving ‘advice’ at my local sushi-serving restaurant!

Randomness…..I LOVE The Monterey Bay Aquarium. I went there years ago when I was in Cali for my brothers wedding. It’s a really fun and engaging aquarium.

Yummmmy thanks! I do talk with my sushi chef quite a bit tho, but of course I go there a couple times a week & after about 6 months of sitting at the bar in awe he spoke with me. We have had a sushi relationship since which really helps out in the quantity & quality dept :)

ehrrmmm… do they really want you to do that?

Do they sell fish to sushi chefs, or something?

I don’t think I’ll ever possess the authority to give any advice to a sushi chef, on any subject, especially the safety of the fish he’s using. At least with this kit I’ll feel entitled to my opinion.

I keep a copy of the Monterey Bay pocket seafood guide in my purse to consult when I go shopping–I find it very helpful and reassuring.
