Free Shiny Koraidon or Miraidon Pokemon at GameStop and EB Games

If you (or your kids) have either of the Pokémon Scarlet or Pokémon Violet video games, then you can go to GameStop and EB Games between September 26 – October 15, 2025 and get a free Shiny Koraidon or Miraidon. I'm told by my Pokemon aficionado little brother that these are rare versions of each Pokemon that can never be obtained within the game and are reserved for in-store events like this, so this seems like a cool little freebie if you're a Pokemon fan.

Which Pokemon you'll get depends on which game you have. Pokemon Scarlet owners will get the Shiny Miraidon while Pokemon Violet owners will get the Shiny Koraidon.

To claim your in-game gift, follow these steps:

1. Go to your local store during the date range and launch your Pokémon Scarlet or Pokémon Violet game.
2. Select Poké Portal on the X menu.
3. Select Mystery Gift, then select Get with Code/Password to connect to the internet.
4. Enter your code.
5. Watch as the gift arrives in your game. (Pokémon will appear in your party or your Pokémon Boxes.)
6. Be sure to save your game.
