Free CDC Prevent Tickborne Diseases Bookmarks

The CDC still has some free informational bookmarks from 2014. Search for “bookmark” under “Keyword or PubID” and you'll see anywhere from 10-13 different bookmark options. Some are 2×6 inch bookmarks while others are 8.5×3.5 inches. A lot of them are bookmarks showing how to prevent tickborne diseases that are not only informational, but they're also laminated and guaranteed to freak you out every time you pick up your book!

You can request up to 100, but come on, leave some for the next Hiffer behind you. I have a feeling once these are gone, they're gone for good.

Once you add a bookmark or two to your cart, go to your cart and checkout. Orders usually takes 2 to 4 weeks for delivery.


Free Home Depot Kids Workshop

Next Free Home Depot Kids Activity Kit on November 25

The next free Kids Activity Kit from Home Depot is just around the corner! These in-store events usually take place on the first Saturday of each month from 9am to 12 noon, however this month they're running a bonus event at the end of the month! Space is limited, so you need to register a spot under “In-Store Kids Workshops.”

In addition to keeping the craft forever, each kit comes with a free certificate of achievement, free Workshop Apron, and free commemorative pin. You can find more info on this month's free craft here.

These free craft kits are intended for kids aged 5-12, though the age range is simply a guide instead of a strict rule. I can also confirm grown adults aged over 30 sometimes have trouble helping their little brother because I'm terrible with tools.

Each free kit also has an “extension activity” created in tandem with Discovery Channel Education. These are kind of cool, as they let your child “upgrade” the free craft they built. For instance, the November 2021 Amphibious Military Vehicle extension teaches your child how to build life vest for their imaginary passengers.

Arm & Hammer has a long-term rebate offer through January 31, 2024 where you can get a 7 lb. free HardBall cat litter, up to $14.99! HardBall litter makes it sound like my cat's excrement is going to drive a tough bargain every time I dump it in the trash. Imagine attempting to negotiate a pay raise against a ball of cat poop.

What were we talking about again? Oh yeah, here's how to get your freebie:

  1. Purchase one 7lb. ARM & HAMMER Hardball Clumping Cat Litter from Walmart or Walmart.com by 12/31/23.
  2. Submit your rebate online here. (note: It took my computer a full minute to load their rebate website, I think it's getting hammered right now) Simply press the yellow “Submit this Offer” button, then click “Accept Terms and Submit this Offer” and follow the instructions.
  3. Rebates must be received by 01/31/24.
  4. You'll then get a snail mailed check within 6-8 weeks.

The rebate form says you need the “original promotional sticker from package”, plus the receipt and original UPC. However, in the past if you submit your rebate online, they don't ask for the promotional sticker. All you have to is take a picture of the receipt and enter the UPC. I've confirmed many other Hiffers have gotten their rebate in the past by submitting online without a peelie sticker.
