Five Free Mine Magazine Issues
Sorry hidden explosives enthusiasts, these five free issues of Mine magazine aren’t what you think. It’s actually a new twist on magazines, where you select up to five traditional publications (Time, Sports Illustrated, etc.) and they then somehow customize you Mine magazine issues to include articles from all five of your selections. Don’t ask me to explain it any further; I’m already confused on how they’ll decide which articles from each magazine to include.
This is almost more baffling than the time I discovered you could put cold food in a magic box and have it come out piping hot. How does that witchcraft even work!? I swear, my house is made of elven magic.

Those of you who signed up for this offer are going to get an EXTRA FREE ISSUE! I wonder if it will contain the titles each of us requested. Here's the story: Time Inc. owns up to goofed 'mine' magazine LOS ANGELES (AP) - Time Inc.'s experimental made-to-order magazine, "mine," is shipping out this week. But many subscribers are getting a version that looks like it belongs to someone else. Subscribers to the free publication have been allowed to select five of eight magazine titles that would make up the content for their personalized copy. Many readers are getting versions that don't match their picks. Time Inc. Media Group President Wayne Powers is apologizing for the problem. In an e-mail Wednesday, he blames a "computer error." He promises a sixth free issue, instead of the five originally planned.
